I have made an instruction sheet on how to make a cozy sack with boning around the rim, and have taken screenshots of it. If anyone can tell me how to attach a file, I can add the PDF version so that people can download it if they want to.

I hope these make sense, if not, I can explain in more detail.

Wow. Those are great instructions. I was wondering, can it be washed in the machine with a boning?

I've got a tunnel that has boning in it and wash it in the washing machine. I let it air dry though.

Yes, I have washed it in the machine. You can pull the inner layer back out again, like in the 3rd picture of step 13, so that the layers are separated and will dry quicker.

Fantastic tutorial! I've never used boning before, only batting, so this is just what I needed...batting keeps it open, to a degree, but sometimes he just sits on it and can't get it back open on his own.
