Eros Pour Femme by Versace is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Eros Pour Femme was launched in 2014. Eros Pour Femme was created by Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson. Top notes are Sicilian Lemon, Pomegranate and Calabrian bergamot; middle notes are Lemon Blossom, Jasmine Sambac, Jasmine and Peony; base notes are Musk, Ambroxan, Woodsy Notes and Sandalwood.

Versace is launching the new fragrance for women as an addition to the popular men’s edition Eros from 2012. Versace Eros Pour Femme arrives on shelves of perfumeries in Italy in December 2014 as the fragrant seductress of the God of love—Eros. The women’s fragrance in a glamorous gold color flacon is signed by perfumers of the Firmenich company Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson who worked together on creating the new composition.

"Eros is God of love and the goal of Eros Pour Femme campaign was to present that Eros was seduced and to suggest the strength of a woman," stated Donatella Versace, who added that photos for the campaign were taken in Pinewood studio in London in water reservoirs where the James Bond movies were filmed. The campaign is signed by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The faces of the campaign are Brian Shimansky, known as advertising face of Eros and Lara Stone, advertising face of Eros Pour Femme who comes out of the water in a white dress and golden gladiator sandals!

The composition of the new perfume for women Eros Pour Femme opens with Sicilian lemon, Calabrian bergamot and pomegranate accords, with a heart of lemon, sambac jasmine absolute, jasmine infusion and peony. The base incorporates sandalwood, ambrox, musk and various woody notes.

The fragrance bottle Eros Pour Femme is rounded and embellished with a prominent relief Medusa symbol on the central part of bottle and the stopper, as well as with a typical Greek motif on the edges. It is made of glass and embellished with metallic golden details and cap. Instead of a box, the bottle will be packed in a small case which opens on the sides. The fragrance will be available as 30ml, 50ml and 100 ml EDP. The fragrance will first be launched in Italy in December 2014, and in 2015 in Europe and worldwide.

I got this as a 5mL tester bottle for free. so i took it home and smelled it. As a man, i think that this is a really good fragrance, its really fresh, and really strong. I think if you were a man you could pull this one off, as its just not to masculine, but not necessarily too feminine, if you know what i mean.

TGreat

Love this one! It has a rich touch to it - works better when you are dressed for a nice occasion or date night (unfortunately, it doesn't smell/work same on casual fits like sweatpants). Very feminine and classy.

Centsless

This is a really nice freshie that still retains an air of femininity without giving cologne vibes like some others do. I'm not rushing out to buy it, but If I found this at a great price, I would certainly grab it for everyday, casual wear. Especially for summer. It is uplifting and clean with bright lemon and jasmine notes taking front and center. The dry down had decent silage. I think the musk helps that lemon linger for a little while. This one's very true to the brand. ※

Eenemeene

I don't know if it's just me, but I don't like this. On me this is not really citrusy, but instead just overly soapy and sweetish. I feel like I almost smell a sort of clove? I don't know, this just makes me feel old. Not a fan!

Kellyf058

I had this and sold it. It wasn't terrible, but It wasn't special to me. I blindly picked it up after listening to the wrong advice.

Xehanort

This perfume smells so sophisticated. Like the elderly elegant sis of Sì. Whenever I wear this perfume, I get compliments and people ask what I'm wearing because they can't recognize the smell. Would definitely repurchase again. This is the only "high end" perfume I completely finished from my collection.

KitKat

This is beautiful. Is it complex and groundbreaking? No. It is fairly simple and extremely likeable but when you have Morillas and Cresp partner up it can't go wrong. I almost blind bought it and do not regret a bit. It is easy to wear, soft feminine... gives me casual European vibes. Only downside is poor longevity as I have to respray multiple times a day but it is worth it... truly enjoying it. When I need something fuss free easy to wear.

AnniePruana

Opening is citrus mostly lemon, this is not what stays, the dry down is a soft, happy, comforting, powdery floral yet still invigorating. I'm glad I have Eros Pour Femme Versace for women in my collection for days I want to give myself hugs and be motivated to exercise out in the sunshine.

Blossomcorvus

Smells like any basic perfume tucked between magazine pages.

Mandz11

I don't completely love it, but it smells pleasant and has a lasting freshness about it that I like.

Amamii

Upon its initial application, this fragrance unfurls a refreshing aura, swiftly transitioning beyond its fleeting top notes. What emerges in its stead is a profoundly powdery essence of peony, dominating the olfactory experience. Despite the claims of its base notes harboring musk, woody notes, sandalwood, and ambroxan, these elements elude my perception entirely, failing to unveil their aromatic depth. To me, it resembles a perfume that might grace my grandmother's vanity—a scent unmistakably perfume-like, yet devoid of any synthetic harshness. Indeed, it's redolent of an era gone by, a vintage herbal perfume. This fragrance evokes the presence of a gentlewoman, its aroma encapsulating a certain tender femininity.

Personally, I find myself somewhat relieved that I own a sample of it instead of the full bottle. From my own perspective, it fails to captivate.

booksandcats457

Not a bad fragrance, but frankly not a spectacular one either. It smells like…generic perfume-y scent to me. Pleasant, light, with hints of citrus. But doesn’t really stand out to me in any particular way.

Lolapoop

This fragrance makes me wanna stand up,exercise, straight up my back, keep my head high and be 20 again.

Alessandro C.

this smells so fresh, clean, sharp and floral, I love it

Glyceryl

This was my signature scent back in 2015/16 and I still love it and wear it from time to time.

Sunny, bright, warm, clean. The bottle being gold feels very appropriate to me. I only get lemon in the opening. From there it is a luscious bouquet of jasmine and peony followed by cozy sandalwood all the while remaining fresh and clean. This to me is a nice everyday/office scent.

Birdee2022

It opened at first spray as a slightly musky floral with some brightness of the citrus…over the next hour or so the citrus and musk became more prominent…at two hours it has become a very weak erba pura dupe…the woody notes are in foreground w some citrusy background, the florals have been over ridden

rialadina

I loved this fragrance in the store and on one of my friends it smelled amazing but on me i really don't like it. Weirdly on my skin the sweet smells develop early but fade really fast leaving a harsh citrus-y scent which i'm not really a fan of. It reminds me of victorias' secret perfumes

hollyhwd

This fragrance holds a special place in my heart - I first received a miniature bottle in 2016, and spent the following year rationing the tiny thing until my parents bought me the full bottle for Christmas. I wore it to every party I went to as a teenager, so as a result it does smell quite adolescent to me.

It's beautiful though, like a slightly more grown up version of a VS body spray, how I used to imagine champagne would taste like. The sparkling citrus notes cut through the sweet white florals, and on my skin even has a sexy, boozy note - but maybe that's just the memories.

Great projection. I had a fight with my sister because I could smell her wearing it from the other room.

rene.saller

I got a tiny splash bottle of this because it's a friend's favorite scent, and I wanted to know what it smelled like (she mostly just wears it when she goes out, or she doesn't wear enough of it that I can smell it when I hug her in casual settings). This is really nice--I dribbled some on a test strip, and the citrus top notes are lasting much, much longer than they usually do, probably because of the ambroxan. I don't pick up on any of the rancidity or animalic qualities described by other reviewers. This smells elegant and clean to me, but it has a sexy vivacity, too, thanks to the lingering zing of the citrus top notes and the (non-indolic) jasmine. The different wood notes in the base keep it from seeming too sweet; in fact, this almost has a bit of a cologne vibe, not unlike Eau de Givenchy, though much less evanescent and sporty.

yoshiko1031

Purchased in 2016 so blessed to have the original vs. a possible reformulation. Not 100% certain its changed but I sprayed Eros on a card at Macys in 2021 and it was slightly different than what I have at home. Flirtatious, sparkling and elegant this is my go to strictly for vacations in warm climates. Truthfully, I wasn't wild about it at first sniff but once settled with my chemistry turned into a glorious scent where I mainly pick up whiffs of bergamot, jasmine and sandalwood with a pleasantly seductive hint of creamy coconut (not cheap suntan lotion vibes), which isn't even listed as a note. If you've ever had the pleasure of witnessing a freshly picked coconut being sliced in half on a white sand beach, thats the scent. It invokes feelings of sipping a quality champagne at a cliffside cafe overlooking the ocean, while a warm breeze flows through the hair and caresses the skin. Not my absolute favorite since its limited to Spring and Summer plus the longevity isn't as long as I'd like but definitely in the top five.

AaronT

Any suggestions for an extremely well done slighlty masculine leaning version I like the idea of this scent when smelling this scent but obviously with designer scents they aim for the "nice" category, (for example you wouldn't find rare real citrus oils or real pink pomegranate in this) but again I like the idea and was wondering if there are any high designer (like Tom Ford private label, Armani prive, louis vuitton) or niche scents that have the same idea utilising citruses mainly lemon and white florals that takes a more luxury refined unisex approach.

baibyy

That is how every 30-40 year old women in the office/corporate job was smelling like 10-15 years ago. Boring af nowadays.

missclairedee

This is one of my favorite samples I have, out of over 50. I'm layering this with JHAG Not A Perfume Superdose today.

I think I've found my signature scent.

This by itself is lemon, crisp and "happy" smelling. It's also a tad sultry with the woody/musky notes. It reminds me of a nice Summer date, at around dusk. The staying power is nice, I smell it on my wrist in the mornings before I shower for the day. It also stays on my sweater nicely.

blessedgurl28

I bought this cuz i really liked the bottle. Wouldnt buy again. Price doesnt justify that it doesnt last!! Sillage weak also. Its an attractive smell just doesnt last

Mia80

I don’t smell citrus at all. I smell pleasure. On the wood.

Lizhaugen

At first I felt mildly indifferent. I wanted a sweeter lemon and for it to be a little more girly. I paired this with one spray of Roses Vanille by Mancera and that did the trick for me. :)

silthrill

Had to see what the fuss was about. This is one of those designer fragrances that has a lot of respect in the fragrance community. (I can see why as it was a collaboration between 3 master perfumers). Also I found the reviews to be conflicting which is always a fun adventure. Here is my take:

First and foremost unless you are super sensitive to Ambroxan, this does not smell anything like household cleaner. I can see how it would to someone who picks up ambroxan strongly, especially with the big lemon note.

Secondly, I agree with the reviews that say that this is clean girl vibes. Without being similar in smell or in notes, this is the same vibe to me as SJP’s Lovely or back in the day Gap’s Heaven. It’s one of those nose ticklers that gives you a bit and draws you in. The use of ambroxan here was completely brilliant, because in heat it does the ambroxan thing and radiates to fill a room. Also, this is the only fragrance that I’ve worn that, when I’ve taken a hot shower afterwards, it’s filled the smell of my bathroom with the scent bubble. The performance is so good that I get out of the shower smelling like I used this as body wash.

This is an ideal scent to wear if you’re going to be in close proximity to someone in high heat, because it’s noticeable but not strong or offensive. Very very well made, full bottle worthy.

flem

Very floral opening. Like a bouquet of flowers. Powdery and lotion-y. Maximum feminine and what many will think of when they think of matronly scents. Particularly from the 90’s or before.

perfumelovere

I 100% concur with ScentJunkie5366 below. All perfumes in the nineties were power houses irrespective of cost. Even the cheapie brands lasted and projected for hours. Remember Vanilla Fields.

Now they go on potent and then by 45 minutes they are mere skin scents where no one can detect fragrance unless you're intimate. The wood in this was too much for me.

vanillashpice

I HATE citrusy perfumes or anything that’s too sharp even grapefruit . This , however is lovely .! I have a sample from 2017 ish from Sephora . I know versace around 2020 reformulated a lot of their fragrances , I don’t know if that includes this one . But mine smells divine it’s citrus heavy but it smells pleasant expensive and not sharp . It’s very bright , luminous . I think it’s unisex too . I used the sample up and also recalled it being hefty and having good projection .

Andy224

Smells expensive, soft and citrusy. Though it being a safe blind buy don’t expect it to have a groundbreaking scent or performance.

hotbaby1

Extremely long lasting, great hot weather fragrance. Very citrusy if you like citrus scents . It smells clean and fresh. I have a mini collector bottle to let go in the US. Not my cup of tea.

bel.gravia

A perfumey perfume doesn't smell like notes or nature can't decipher anything in particular except pomegranate, however it is beautiful. Overall a musky clean bright floral with fruity tones. I wore it on my vacation by the ocean because to be fair I wasn't sure what else to pick. This is light, inoffensive, clean and very luxurious.

kawars5

My nail tech had me smell this scent after a talk about how Versace is by far my favorite designer. I tried Crystal before and thought I aged out of it . This one smells as if it’s gold like the bottle itself ! If I didn’t just stock 10 bottles of Tomavicci I would have already bought this. This is on my wishlist 😍

ultimate.bliss

Ok so I am a little bit conflicted.
Conflicted, because I absolutely hate citrus-y fragrances, fragrances giving "clean girl aesthetic" vibes, and also I was never a huge fan of Versace. I like really heavy perfumes with roses and gourmad notes in them. This perfume has none of the things I like and all the things I dislike, yet I like this fragrance. Like a lot. Opens with lemon and stays that way for some time, then it blooms into a flowery scent that I like a lot. Sillage becomes stronger and stronger throughout the wear. I am also impressed by the longevity of this perfume. I can see it being unisex, on my skin this fragrance is maybe a little bit more leaning masculine. I liked the EDT maybe a bit more, but this one I feel like sticks out more. Don´t know for which one I should wish for my birthday.

TheFl0rist

My summer staple.

I got a 5ml sample and used it up in a day! I found myself spraying it non-stop.

Then I got a full bottle, only 10 mls left, probably I'll get another bottle very soon.

I am surprised how much I use this one! This is not even in my top 5 favourites! Yet I can't think of anything else in 100 degree fahrenheit temperature. It cuts through the terribly dense humidity.

It lasts all day, the scent survives day long heat and sweat. The lemon, white floral, ambroxan, musk everything works beautifully on my skin. It’s beautiful in scorching summer.

Well, it works if works, if not it doesn’t. Ambroxan is unpredictable.

maeveamillion

When I originally got this perfume, I loved it. But over time it started to give myself, and others around me, a headache and now it just makes me feel sick. I can't describe the scent, but it's just, yuck.

FlowerSeeker

I had a sample of this fragrance. The longer it sat on my skin, the more I liked it. At first it was a little too much amber for me and a subtle sour smell. A few hours later it was a pleasant soft sandalwood. The next morning it was gently sweet on my skin, perfect for a morning snuggle before getting out of bed. I would wear this again but probably wouldn’t purchase a large bottle.

AllisonNW

It may not be anything special or unique but I love this for summer office use. It’s one of those summer scents that just makes me happy.

Lotte_Liese

This fragrance is what I'd imagine a woman wearing a cream coloured slightly oversized silk shirt paired with tailored flats and Chanel slingbacks, and sporting a structured top-grain leather bag, to wear in the summer. A woman who likes the Parisian style of dressing- fashionable without ever being too much or crude. The scent itself is ever so fresh, luxurious, clean smelling, being a white floral whilst a tad woody. It is not my cup of tea, I know I'll get bored with it if I buy a full bottle, but I can appreciate it. I would certainly like to be around someone smelling as gorgeous as this!

spellbook.soaps

I could not smell it at all… Great bottle, though.

lalalunevail

Blind bought this since it was on sale.... honestly it smells a bit like fabric softener? The scent just reminds me of fresh laundry.... perhaps Downy uses similar notes in their fragrances LOL. It is an overall rather harmelss scent, since it's fresh and bright. Despite all the reviews saying what a beast this is, I reckon the scent is pretty mild. Almost non-existent, tbh, which is quite disappointing. You need a DEEP whiff in order to sniff it, which is pretty pointless. Suppose I'll be using this for lounging around the house then, since it's pointless to be wearing something this weak out...... >__>

hmulvo

I used to wear this almost every single day in high school. Way too overpowering for a 15 year-old, of course, but I remember I used to love this with my entire soul.
It's a pretty fragrance, no doubt. Has a "creamy" finish, smells like amber and lemons to me... But now I can't stand it. Gives me headaches for some reason.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

This is a VERY citrusy and fruity perfume and it's a bit strong and loud too. I smell a little bit of the lemon blossom in there, but unfortunately I'm getting the lemon and the pomegranate more, followed by the bergamot. It's sickly sweet and I don't get any of the other notes in this either. It makes me think of a fruit salad, which is NOT what I want to smell like! Very brash, too.

It's the sort of fragrance I could imagine either a small child or a teenager would like to wear. It's incredibly sweet, gourmand and juvenile. The bottle of this perfume is also super tacky and tasteless.

Projection is fairly big and the longevity is an average 5 hours. This really makes me think Versace and I just don't get along. 3 ½/10 stars for me.

Stoicchild

The most boring scent of this house. This is so not a Versace scent. I have used Vanitas for years; this is NOTHING like Vanitas. Please bring Vanitas back. That was my signature scent. Can't believe a perfume house that created a masterpiece like Vanitas made this. This smells so generic. All I could smell is Jasmine and Vanilla.

Keonaaa

I hate the nasty, ugly comments on this perfume. I think this perfume is super pretty. I received 2 compliments in one day. It’s fresh, lemony, sweet and woody. Maybe it just mixes well with my skin. I bought a back up bottle since the reviews are so bad. I hope the negative reviews doesn’t get this perfume discontinued. It’s a beauty and lasts all day.

Ghadah02

I gifted this to my mom, I smell the luxury store when I smell this, I don't know why it has a touch of Xerjoff runway to it but mixed with Versace if that makes sense.

It will make sense if you want to gift this to women who like to wear brands such as Gucci, Prada, YSL, Louis Vuitton, etc...

suzanne_ronald

Fluffy WHiPPED LEMON & Pomegranate. Opens with a fruity citrus burst of lemon-pomegranate rounded out by multi-faceted bergamot, that transitions into a floral heart of lemon blossom & jasmine with citrus, clean & velvety nuances, all supported by musky amber-woody base. Overall what I get is an airy, fluffy, musky, whipped- lemon punctuated by a pomegranate note on a hazy wood base. The pomegranate note here almost reads as a raspberry, and on the skin there's a faint beachy quality. Some reminders of Yellow Diamond Intense Versace & Lady Million Paco Rabanne, I just have a tester that's giving me weak to average performance for a light summer wearing experience. It's possible that a full bottle would develop a stronger performance.

Contrast to Yellow Diamond Intense Versace:
These are different, but there are similarities. YDI is more citrus forward but the longer they dry down, the more similar they become.

Contrast to Lady Million Paco Rabanne:
These are different, and VEPF doesn't have the forward neroli, but the pomegranate note here reminds me of LM.

Overall: Versatile, and easy to wear scent, although unremarkable & forgettable with questionable performance, this is the perfect scent to wear when conducting espionage. It's a like for me, not a love. 7.5/10. Enjoy!

juwlie

To be clear, I do like this scent. It smells classy and beautiful, but not luxurious. I don't get a lot of the citrussy notes listed but it still smells really nice. It reminds me of going to the perfume counter as a kid, I guess because it smells "grown up". I just don't think there's anything particularly special about it. This is my first Versace fragrance, and I know that some people love them and some hate them. I'll be looking forward to trying more of them, and I hope I can find some that have a little bit more to offer than this one.

ScentJunkie5366

I find this fragrance (and the EDT) completely BORING. It doesn't perform well, either. I find myself being underwhelmed over and over again when trying and buying fragrances. What happened to perfumes that lasted all day, or at the very least an 8 hour work day?? These brands are watering down their fragrances in hopes that we'll all overspray and reapply all day long, so that we'll run out faster and repurchase. The reality is that we will just return the fragrance and/or never buy from them again!
In the past year, I've probably tried 100 fragrances and blind bought about 60. Of all of these, 2 have great performance. ONLY TWO, out of approximately 160. Two more have good, not great performance.
I remember the days when every single one of my perfumes were excellent performers. Everyone's were. I wore poison in high school and could still smell it at night when I went to bed. That was 1992. I wore Samsara and Dune in 1998 and would get compliments all day every day.
Perfumes in 2023 are at least 2 to 3 times more expensive than they ever were and performance just sucks.. I'm returning this boring AF fragrance and if you know of any fragrances with decent quality and performance, please let me know.

Camille1977

Amazing bright citrusy start simmering down to a sultry somewhat floral powdery musk; This is such a beautiful versatile scent that doesn’t get the marketing attention it deserves. This is too sophisticated for a “younger” audience under 23yrs at best, unlike the Crystal Pink or Yellow suite from Versace more suited for the younger ladies - I’ve literally been chased down in the supermarket and asked what I’m wearing, or stopped just to be complimented with Ohhhs and Ahhhs. I adore this scent.

noahwjperry01

I actually quite enjoy this scent - for what I intend its use for that is! This for me is summer and spring only. Day time. Absolutely the opposite of something I gravitate toward buying, this was a collectors purchase for me as I really like Versace's brand, and does have it's place in my collection. Will i buy again? No, not after I found the notes I like, which my next Versace buy will definitely be the Versace Crystal Noir! However, i get very complimented when I wear this so it must work with my chemistry somehow. I use this for the beach house, a lunch out on a sunny day, its nice to me. I don't get the mess some are talking about, and maybe again that's how it wears on me! A 6/10 for me.

Dark_Venus

I like the citrus and pomegranate notes. The floral notes are a bit "sticky"....lol i don't know how to describe it. I guess it's like a sappy floral scent I don't favor too much. I'm glad I bought a mini size (0.17oz). I'll use it occasionally in the late winter, early spring. but once it's gone, I won't repurchase. I was a little disappointed because at the store I smelled it on a test strip and loved it but it's very different on skin.

bajablast

i purchased this perfume because i fell in love with its opening (~1hr) which i still really enjoy. After a while of owning it though, I started to notice that the dry down was not so pleasant. A few hours in, and this morphs into an overly sweet floral/musk mess, with the lemon no longer present.

Pearlstar

I wanted to blind buy this based on the reviews and notes but fortunately I passed by a store that carried it so I tested 3 sprays on my skin for a couple of hours. The initial blast of it feels a little loud and attention seeking, if you're into that, great. It dries down to a pleasant, expensive smelling floral scent. I do like that it's lasting, stays pretty long, like a couple hrs on moisturised skin, even in high humidity, but unfortunately I find it quite boring overall. I don't get the sensual/Eros vibe at all. Which kind of surprised me because the creators of it are such amazing perfumers. To me, it feels like a perfume for more mature & serious woman or a young person who wants to smell older. Maybe it doesn't work well on my skin? I enjoyed Dylan Blue more, which I regretfully gave away in a spate of decluttering.

KrisGreen

This is a man reviewing this again after all reformulations took effect. Some fragrances that didn’t have lillial got reformulated anyway such as Dylan Blue Pour Homme and Yellow Diamond Intense EDP 2022 in new blue box. Eros Pour Femme EDP was kept FULLY in tact and did NOT get reformulated. This 2022 bottle is the same powerful and elegant punch as it was when it was first released.

It doesn’t hold a candle to the standard Men’s Eros. They’re completely different scents despite sharing the same name. (At least both Dylan blues have many similarities, hell I mix them in decantors, shake and let sit and it smells Devine.)

This just smells classy and sophisticated. You go nose blind to this very fast but trust me people can smell you. If you wear this regularly, you’ll only smell the top notes for 5 minutes and you’ll think you have a bad bottle of juice. I promise you this is a beast although a tad weaker than the original Men’s Eros EDT.

I don’t wear this often, but since I’m not nose blind I can smell this wafting up my nose when I’m outside and the wind is blowing. I smell it on myself sitting on the couch. 3 days in a row, forget it. You literally can’t smell this on yourself as you become tolerant so fast. However it’s a monster compliment getter. Doesn’t get me attention from guys but my female friends can’t stop hugging me telling me how amazing I smell even though I can’t smell a darn thing anymore.

They should have released this in a flask in the shape of a clock and called it Versace Timeless. Smelled EDT at store… too girly for me. This is a masterpiece and a safe blind buy for someone new to perfume.

Starryclouds

Oh no… Despite what everyone says, this lasts like, forever on me. And after an hour or so I have to scrub it off. At the beginning I get a decent lemon smell, but it fades into this awful, synthetic musky flower smell. It’s so headache inducing

fareri251

It's boring and smells cheap. The Eros male line is so much better than this synthetic citrus mess.

mangocheesecake

I love this perfume and it lasts forever and the silage is good. It might similar to something you’ve smelled before it opens up with the bergamot and you would think I know this scent but then the white florals and the sandalwood comes out and it becomes a sexy scent(depends on body chemistry) which I love!

KerriZ

Love so many things about Versace but the combination of notes on this fragrance end up falling into the lemon cleaner realm. It fades fairly fast so you dont have to linger with it too long.

lauermar

This is NOT a dupe of Versace Blonde. I had that one. It was a beautiful but dominant tuberose scent similar to White Shoulders, Madonna's Truth or Dare, or Fracas. It knocked you out. This one is woody, floral amber like Cashmere Mist. It doesn't leave a trail that lasts for 2 days like Blonde. This can be worn to the office.

thaochipnd

Lemon Flower + Musk + Wood scent. A perfume that I thought I wouldn't pay attention to, but I ended up like it.

The first impression of Versace Eros Pour Femme is a feminine, flirty scent quite similar to Kilian GGGB's Vibes. The opening scent is very gentle, fresh and pleasant. I find that I like cool and refreshing Citrus notes, and the Sicilian Lemon scent here is beautiful. The fragrance gradually transforms into a summer flower garden, where fragrant Lemon Blossom, Jasmine and gentle Peony are exuding fragrance together. It feels like there is sunshine in the scent, so this is a perfume that is extremely suitable for the spring and summer weather without making people around you upset.

Luxurious and powerful design is also an attractive plus point of Eros Pour Femme. I think it will be very suitable for independent and proud girls. The scent is elegant and somewhat sexy. Vote, it's the best women's scent from Versace that I've ever tried. However, it seems to be underrated, hopefully Eros Pour Femme will get more attention.

Rating: 8/10. The scent is beautiful, peaceful, like a sunny afternoon in Italy. You know the peaceful countryside scenery, blooming flowers and chirping birds like Jane Austen's novels? Versace Eros Pour Femme is like that

babeandherperfume

This perfume smells like a dupe of Blonde Versace. It's quite warm-scented. I'm still on the fence on this one as it's not really my type. I like something that's more fresh and clean.

It smells like..........Versace. I think it's very representative of the brand. It has a boldness to it. I can easily picture a woman like Donatella wearing this. I really like it on paper, but it's not compatible with me.

Shaina87

I don't usually love citrus heavy fragrances but this is a love for me. It's one of my favorite summer scents. It's very citrusy in the opening, but as it dries down it becomes heavy with sweet jasmine. Then the ambroxan and woodsy notes come through. It's really beautiful and so smooth. That's the problem I find with most citrus heavy fragrances - they're so sharp to my nose. But this is blended and rounded out so well. It just makes me happy. It is very inexpensive and will be a repeat repurchase for me. It's a summer staple in my collection.

Szafirowy czar

I have never used it on me yet but I fell in love with it when my colleague used it on one business trip. I can see that most women use it as a day fragrance (her included), however I see myself using it more in the evening time. I will definitely order a sample in the future!

rayzieeeeee111

Italian summer fragrance, conjures visions of lemon trees, marble, Italian countryside, lakes, white linen, and a fresh summer breeze. Beautiful for summer wear and suits most occasions :)

Cynthia30

Slightly alcoholic fruity citrus. The musk leans masculine, although the fruity floral smell is feminine. I'm not sure whether men are attracted to women who wear such masculine musks or bases, I will have to try it out on dates.
Also, it has a 90s perfume vibes with the alcohol/terpenes but nowhere near as much a Vera Wang Princess.

For me, this is not really pleasant or enjoyable.

karamelle

I went to Sephora to try on some new frags yesterday. In Turkey you can’t grab a bottle without being disturbed by the sales reps. One of the “fragrance experts” there insisted on “helping” me so I told him I was looking for something dark and seductive and he made me try this one :D. I really thought he was kidding first but no. This is a very citrusy, bright fresh scent, literally the complete opposite of what I’m looking for. When I told him it smelled like lemons&cleaning products he had the courage to tell me I had to taste. I didn’t want him to become unemployed because of me since our economy is messed up and I know people are struggling so I just left the store without saying anything. However I still can’t understand how can someone classify this one as a night time dark and seductive type of scent. + I don’t think it worths the cash since there are so many beautiful fragrances in this range.

strongerwithglue

Starts off a bit too sharp with lots of ambroxan, but settles to a sugary fruity citrusy scent, reminds me of sour candy and makes my mouth water.

FeeBeeTee

I like this fragrance, but the opening does give me shampoo vibes, so I get how people are saying it smells like a cleaning product, lol. I'm wearing it today, layered with Bath & Body Works Fairytale body cream and body mist.

BelleEmilly

Italian vibe. Goes perfectly with a white linen shirt. I love it more in spring rather than summer. Definitely not in July or August

pinkstate

To my nose this is an unisex fragrance leading more masculine. It may have a 'cleaning product' opening due to lemon but the musk and ambroxan bring it out of the 'cleaning product' zone in the dry down; having a lemon blossom-musky dry down. It is not sophisticated but good as a casual/daily/easy perfume during the summer. Love the bottle, like the juice inside and you can find it at reasonable price. Nothing to hate here!

EgyptianMusk89

Like others have said, sharp and harsh citrus, floral, woodsy scent. Doesn't smell femme to me at all.

BHCC

I wanted to like this one, but it really does smell like a cleaning product. A bit too heavy on the lemon...

karinevandal

I sprayed the perfume just before leaving the house. I sit in the car:

My bf: wtf it smells Windex!?!

Me: alrighty then 🫣🌝

Lili1105

Nope. Too sharp floral and fruit scent. There's a mix of that I can't digest. Is too generic.. Nothing for me...

KrisGreen

EDIT: Received a 2022 bottle and it smells exactly the same. Not reformulated!

This is a guy reviewing this. I’ve never classified this anywhere near a signature scent but over time it’s grown on me. I usually have layered it with bright crystal, Eros Flame, or Pour Homme. Lately I’ve been wearing it by itself and just wow. Eros is a bad name for this scent. I can imagine the flask looking like a clock and being called Versace Timeless.

It makes me feel elegant and Sophisticated, I know that sounds weird. While it is feminine, guys can still wear this depending on skin chemistry.

You get this “classic” and “old fashioned” perfume smell. I know everything was reformulated in 2021 but this bottle I have is a 2020. And it’s my 7th bottle so that should say something.

This is one of my few fragrances where the top notes actually stay throughout the projection period.. even into the dry down. Imagine you are royalty back in time, that’s what this smells like, Timeless.

Not generic, nothing else like this AT all. Haven’t tried the EDT but probably too feminine even for me, as it is far sweeter from what I hear.

The packaging… is beautiful. I would recommend this but not a blind buy. For girls this could be worn any age, for men this would fit ages 30+. It’s very mature, not playful to where it would attract kids, and VERY classy like the original crystal noir.

Crystal noir makes me feel sexy and empowered, Eros Pour Femme makes me feel classy and elegant with decency, like I forget I’m American for a moment.

sophiesnose

This stuff is magic. It’s been a while since I’ve fallen in love with someone right at first smell. I would love to have it in my collection. Beautiful. I don’t find many summery scents I love. I’m hungover AF and it’s totally inoffensive and uplifting.

MissLisa

this perfume does something magical when it combines with my skin.
in my experience and to my nose, I do not pick up any citrusy flavors however, this scent is beautiful , rounded ,warm , soft …like a very delicately sweetened, airy, whipped warm buttery light cream cheese frosting that lasts a good 5 hrs before I’m tempted to spray another refresher on my shirt and pulse points.
buttery stood out the most when wearing it.
it does dry down to a slightly rancid smell I can’t put my finger on,…..musk maybe??
but I very much love this scent. just not a fan of the final dry down.
I’d like to add the packaging is gift worthy and perfume is in a heavy, ornate gold and glass bottle with a metal cap.
One of the few affordable perfumes that has a nice scent and comes with a quality bottle & eye catching packaging, which makes it pleasing to open , a delight to use and pretty enough to keep on display.

LindaL100

while I do like the fruity and citrusy notes in this and it smells really nice on my skin, but I'm a bit disappointed with its longevity, it doesn't last as long on my skin compared to the men's Eros, I find the men's version to be nicer, stronger and longer-lasting on my skin.

VMonster

I got a sample of this and it smells like an actual cleaning product. I have yet to find a Versace that I like. Someone said clear gummy bears--not on my skin! I do not vibe with this at all.

Lalex

Love at first sniff.
My signature fragrance. For now nothing could top that. I definitely can wear it every season, but the best way to wear it is with black dress, feeling elegant, classy (and sassy).

CurlGurl

It's definitely nothing special, but does smell lovely. It's an easy reach for Summer; something fresh to keep on hand in your purse to freshen up throughout a long day, also a nice "flower sun dress" fragrance. It's citrus with a sweet white floral. Inoffensive and Summery. The bottle sells it tho. Great packaging.

AlaskanAngel

The florals are too sharp in the opening and too forward in the dry down for my taste. I would hesitate to call this a fruity floral or citrus floral, the floral notes dominate everything. This was not made for me.

Review of official carded sample that came free with purchase.

PS
Yeah, gave me a headache. PLEASE DON'T WEAR THIS TO WORK!

MrsMRe

@Mangaetteok, that was quite a read! I am delighted to hear from people who've actually encountered ambergris, civet, and other such animalics in real life (windows open and exhaust hoods at full power!). My understanding is that they were originally used to stabilize or "ground" floral, citrus, etc, scents that would otherwise float away. I had some CREED fragrances many years ago (early 90s) that used that ambergris note as a grounding element; it almost ruined Tuberose Indiana for me. It always struck me as a faint whiff of stale cigar smoke.

Niche enthusiasts who love fecal, animalic, urinous, vomitous, etc., smells, no kink shaming here. Douse yourself in what you love. Just don't preach to others who find them off-putting. Regarding Versace Eros, the top notes are quite mainstream--light citrusy floral--but it does have a skanky body-odor pong in the drydown.

10/10 Versense is the only great Versace (unless you count discontinued bombshells like Blonde).

Mangaetteok

Am VERY surpised here to read some reviews for Versace Eros pour Femme - bc at best, there are currently only 4 perfumes in the world, which use actual ambergris; & they are all several thousand pounds an ounce, 2 are only made to order - not by a person, but a particular high end store, in Paris, London, or maybe Dubai (probably not Dubai, bc ambergris is not particular high on the ingredient list in those parts) will order a limited edition case of those perfumes, probably not less than 26 or so 50 ml bottles.

Other niche brands use "more expensive" synthetic ambergris, but you just wont find it, even in niche perfumery outside of those 4. Creed make 2 of those perfumes; but EVEN in most Creed including their (beautiful) but expensive Love In White, which I wear a lot, the slight, annoying hint "ambergris" in the base, is a synthetic; albeit a v expensive, v good, & almost indistinguishable from the real thing - & it sticks out quite a bit, in that - so in a not much subtance & mostly citrus/hespiridic perfume, it would be v odd - it couldn't be balanced, you see - & even if they managed it, it would never get past the early testings.

The notes for Versace Eros clearly state ambroxan, ofc - & it's a designer perfume - & obviously, no designer perfume since the v early 1980's has used ambergris - it's extremely rare & far too expensive. Brands like Creed, Memo Paris, Ormande Jayne & Sylvain Delacourte - they ALL use synthetic ambergris; whether they list "ambergris" as a note or not - in niche perfumery they DO often put "ambergris" on the Fragrantica notes - but ofc, it's 99.9999% of the time, synthetic ambergris; whilst not being anything to do with ambroxan, which is harsh, & almost metallic, even though it can be a good fixative agent - & is more often used as the body of the fragranceitself, as personifiedit D&G Light Blue - & even here. Yes, ambroxan DOES actually mimic the function of ambergris - the radiance - but, in reality, it smells nothing like it (there was a tiny amount of real ambergris at a certain university I went to - & it is, pretty disgusting stuff, clearly, you wouldn't need more than a microscopic quantity, even, in a v strong, spicy perfume,) - but, in citrus perfumes like Eros P F, they notably even list ambroxan in the notes - bc, like Light Blue it couldn't be anything like real ambergris - & bc many ppl like it's clean, almost salty smell - & the radiant effect is a similar thing - to the feeling ambergris gives - but what makes ambergris "radiant" is it's literally vile, animalic, basis - it's "radiant" bc it gives a hugely animalic stench, basically. (We had the windows of the laboratory open ALL afternoon that day we messed around with those basenotes.

Cetalox & ambroxan though, hv become favourite basenotes in their own right, bc they're much, much, much "cleaner" though - modern humans - most of them - cannot bear real - or any, animalics - such as styrax, which when I was tiny, was in such as Ralph Lauren Safari - but is not now, for sure in the recent bottles - & definitely not the disgusting civet & not as bad, in my opinion, ambergris; most pfmes now, rarely ever any contain civet, & it's all synthetic - but in the early eighties, even Princess Diana's favourite Quelque Fleurs, by Houbigant, had civet, although that IS a massively floral - modern hesperidics & those that are predominant citrus with a tiny hint of floral notes -& aquatics, - they are 100% designed to incorporate a LOT of ambroxan, like Eros PF does - you simply cannot balance those kinds of perfumes with such as ambergris; cannot be done, sorry - & things like Versace Eros, D&G LB, Versace Yellow Diamond - the ambroxan isn't a base note fixative, like ambergris was - they're all ninety something percent ambroxan.

Almost always now though, in niche perfumery, there are some v, v good synthetic ambergris' which are used - as in such as Creed, & Memo, Paris, etc - I would say Amouage, too - but that company is far more fond of fixatives like olibanum & akigalawood & argarwood/aoud, although I think a couple hv syntetic ambergris.
I understand that many on Fragrantica get extremely impressed with themselves over niche perfumes, & you've probably read quite a bit of that, too - but IF they're saying oh, it should hv real ambergris not ambroxan, they're getting it wrong; & I've seen some of them go down that kind of road, & it's usually the (mostly male) types who will "buy only niche" - & only come to designer perfume reviews on Fragrantica to prove "how rubbish" designer pfmes are - & to type - ouf, soooo synthetic...(when ofc, 99.2% of ALL perfumes ARE now - it's just that some synthetics are more expensive - sometimes, much more, & some smell FAR better than others, but the niche snobs don't know or don't want to; they get upset at Jo Malone X Zara - bc she is making £19.99 perfumes which are a damn sight better than most high end designer perfumes, & though the lasting power is 3-4 hours, only - the packaging looks pseudo niche, & some of them smell v niche & occasionally almost exactly like, various far more expenditure niche - certainly she is replicating the "niche experience" at a budget price, which is ok, for a bit of fun; & I don't mind - IF it increases the quality of designer perfumes bc some of the designer brands stuff is so bad; I remember the "80s" perfumes my aunts friends wore in the 90s - & they were so good; clearly we were spoiled then, compared to recent, mainstream stuff.

There's a lot of materials, between ambergris & ambroxan/cetalox - some of which are close to real ambergris, & is what you'll find in spicy, warm, niche - but not citrussy designer for sure - even a £699 bottle of niche perfume wouldn't hv real mbergris - bc only the 4, of the most expensive perfumes in the world would hv it - & most ordinaries could never afford those.
Demeter Fragrance Library make an "Ambergris" - & that would give you an idea of what true ambergris smells like, though it IS synthetic ofc, but it's a good one; cheaper than those used un niche, though, I suspect ' & the syntheric version in Creed Love In White is excellent - it must be, bc it always slightly annoys me, - but it stands to reason, if CREED use synthetic ambergris, then Versace or such brands - low end designer etc just wont, you know?! The one in Creed LIW DOES hv, a v clean scent though, bc the perfume itself is so pure, & white smelling (bit no ambroxan anywhere near - they took out maybe 96% of the animalic quality, but kept some of it's radiance - & that's no mean feat for any perfumer, I love Creed LIW, my fiance does too - & most ppl love that one when you wear it.

(Interestingly D&G Light Blue Sun - actually has a synthetic ambergris; obv in the original Light Blue, it's that ultra clean ambroxan, but for some reason, they hv put in the Sun version, a stronger lemon, there's prob some ambroxan anyway - for the Light Blue part - but then they included a synthetic ambergris, & its a hint of the real, oily, waxy type of scent, something that reminds of the real thing, the same as in the Demeter - personally I find that D&G LB Sun disgusting, but most ppl either like or hate the scent of ambergris - & most ppl don't; unless it's completely hidden in the blend - as it could NEVER be, in a citrus perfume - the only way, is if it's in a strong base note & heavy midnote perfume - something like the original eighties Rochas Byzance - all carnation, orris, sandalwood & spices - or another heavy/sandlewood/spice edp - bc even in Quelque Fleurs - & that was SO heady - the original formulation - some of which the University had - not the new stuff - but even in that, they used civet instead (& civet is disgusting, to me) - bc ambergris would hv blown all those heavy floral notes out of the water & been disgusting; no ofc, in the new bottles - it's ambroxan & the perfume is more of a modern "big floral."

Something like Versace Eros pour femme could just not rake real ambergris - you would basically hv a mainly citrus & some peony perfume over an oily, almost savoury caramel/dirty,waxy animalic wet fur, smell in the base - & it would be very discordant, it would clash like mad - & seperate on your skin - you probably would hv to wash it off, within 2 minutes.

Frag X hv the Demeter Ambergris in 110mls & 30mls - & I think Demeter also do 10ml roller balls -it's worth a try try - bc that is, quite authentic smelling; & so obv smells nothing like ambroxan; ambroxan is just what they use, for a similar effect - it does give that "radiant" quality, but it's like washing powder, (Americans say Laundry Soap, I think) - compared to something that smells like waxy decretions from VERY dirty animal fur - like a bear that hibernated for the winter after a twn mile run, where it got soaking wet, not completely just from rain & had rolled in muddy leaves - extremely smelly - so there's a huge, huge, difference - ambergris is EXTREMELY animalic - & many ppl just cannot bear it; I don't know, clearly you hv many perfumes as I do, & hv probably already tried niche perfumes that actually hv, something that smells more like it, than ambroxan (which am not fond of, & can only bear if it's hidden well,) but I mention the ambergris from Demeter just incase; I occasions use it for layering, but not often; I forget why I thought it would be a good idea, probably when I was deepest into pandemic stupor & decided to play around with even more perfume layering out of sheer boredom.

NB - was not criticising those ppl for writing that - was just surprised, & myself, I think Fragrantica is just supposed to be fun - & for ppl to share they're hobby- even if its a terrible enabler for myself & I should pull myself together a bit, there are litres of perfume to be used, now - but - am afraid the niche snobs recently, hv just gotten a bit silly - they really should be banned from ALL designer perfume reviews, in the future - it's too awful, they're obviously far too pleased with themselves, to realise they're talking utter rubbish. Synthetics are the majority in ALL perfumes now. Saying, oh it's sooo synthetic - is embarrassing; they're ALL synthetic, pretty much, now (not quite all but close to) What the niche snobs mean though - is it's all CHEAP, synthetics & that Versace perfumes should use better ones - loads of ppl say various Versace perfumes smell cheap, I find- it's probably the ambroxan overload much, - except for Versense, ofc - & I never liked Versace anything (flashy Milan stuff, instead of tasteful, French style chic, that I prefer,) but Versense is so classy - it's citrus/olive leaf/woods combination is truly next level, in all of perfumery (whereas niche citrus...bit of a waste of money mostly; try Jo X Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse instead.)

I may hv banged on here, for 6K words, though, but nevermind; I think if ppl don't like designer stuff, & ONLY buy niche - fine, but coming here to prove how much better you are than designer perfume wearers, is not something most Fragranticans do - we love perfumes - & know that some none niche are still, amazing (much as we like & buy SOME niche) - so you know, wedo still hv enough confidence in our selves & self esteem to wear any perfume, in any price bracket, outside of ridiculously cheap or the opposite- just as much as I/we do, niche - & write about it all fairly - some mid range perfumes are lovely; I like allsorts of different perfumes, myself - peruse my
shelves, am not giving them up.

I really do agree, this one is a dud though, only Versace Versense is my taste

My baby bottle of Eros is five years old. Fished it out when I remembered, after my very modest collection of perfumes have been reviewed, that little E has been waiting for the day I'd use it again.

Eros I was adamant to like 5 years ago because it represented something 20 year old me had no access to until then, designer brands. Eros now, with a little more financial independence, is heady and too sweet for my overwhelmed nose. If I ignore its nauseating sweetness, I can pick out a pleasant citrus in bloom but not being given enough room to expand with the potent mix of florals dancing up front.

Eros is still a pretty scent, so I could do with a muted, less cloying version of this.

AmarilisV

I LOVED this fragrance. It made me feel rich, it made me feel elegant, and it made me feel good. This was a classy but slightly sweet, citrusy fresh fragrance. I loved this bad boy when I had it, and will be repurchasing it when the season changes. I’m curious to try the EDT version. I owned the EDP. I got the lemon notes, the white florals, and some sweetness from somewhere. That sweetness is what made it just more than a regular freshie. ❤️

blondemelancholic

What a strong summer perfume -- definitely evokes the sensation of bright, cloudless sunshine, green vineyards, and winding streets of a little town. Curiously, this turned me off at first; something about its opening is oddly syrupy and reminded me of many unpleasant mornings, opening a certain chain breakfast diner. Fortunately the citrus came through, and while it can smell a little overbearing at times, the sweet-sour blend really sets itself apart and won me over. Not my favorite summer scent, but fun and flirty, very youthful.

Dreamybomm

First try was a tiny drop. I was overwhelmed with the smell of that old scouring powder, Borax. Nothing but Borax for 2 hours. I let it rest for a few weeks, and now I get a sweet, almost creamy, fresh cut lemon, and something else I can't identify, with the tiniest bit of Borax.
I rather like it, it will make a change of pace some days. Lasted quite long, over 4 hours with a skin scent for much longer. It doesn't fill up the room with 2 sprays but it definitely has a stronger presence than cheapie perfumes.
It's sweet and clean in a good way, with a little abrasive touch Not what I would name Eros, but oh well 😂
I've got several mini bottles, won't buy a full one.
I've layered it with Al Rehab Soft and the lemon in both play very well together . It reminds me of drinking little glasses of chilled Limoncello , good memories.

mieldoux

i’m usually not a fan of citrus/fresh scents but i absolutely love this!! it has the perfect amount of sweetness which distinguishes it from other citrus scents, i plan to get it for summer :)

grapefruit352

Very very lemony scent. Only if you love lemons... Bottle is pretty although.

Tropicat28

I prefer the EDP version over the EDT. I fell for the Gummy Bear Hype and bought the EDT but it didn’t go with my chemistry so I recommend testing both on your skin before buying.

Perfumedsecrets

A few days after opening, the gold ring on the back of the bottle popped off. I keep Gorilla glue handy and glued it back on. No sense in throwing it away, but this was my first ever issue with a Versace perfume. This is mostly peony musk. No citrus or jasmine. I’m probably going to gift it to someone else.

LemonadeBeach

I like how this smells on others, but on me it just smells like a generic 2000's fruity-floral-aquatic fragrance. All the notes that I was looking forward to - citrus, wood, ambroxan - just don't show up on my skin.

LSAUG

I had no idea what the notes were going in w/ this perfume but upon smelling it I knew right away it had ambroxan in it. I love natural ambergris but the synthetic ambroxan just turns me off, ruins the whole composition of what could be a lovely citrus floral. It also gives me a wicked headache. Sad, if they used natural ambergris this would be a very pretty spring perfume.

Jenla

I absolutely love this scent for the warmer months. It’s very versatile and classy, it lasts for a good 10 hours on my skin and forever on my clothes (I still have a coat that I wore while wearing this fragrance in July that still smells of it). It was the perfect date night scent for summer.

Scent: 10/10
Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 10/10
Versatility: 6/10 (it’s definitely more of a summer/hot sunny day)
Price (at full price): 8/10

Overall: 8.2/10

Oh u are big fancy lawyer girl yes?

have gold coins in your pockets.
so expensive to be you... snobby one

Es fantastic.
now go be rich.

Versace' is king of the jungle.
Like Lion with new haircut and fine jewelry.

RIP Gianni, I love you

miss_aly

I've been testing this one out for the past few days. Upon initial spray, it was super fresh and floral. The citrus notes are great and the floral notes weren't overdone. Then after a few seconds you sense the woodsy base that rounds this fragrance out. I'm definitely more of a warm/spicy/heavier fragrance lover myself. But I truly enjoyed this one to my surprise. I even thought to myself, "Could this be the perfect fresh floral for my collection???". At work I had coworkers compliment me, and it lasted decently! I like it enough to wear if I found a full bottle a bit cheaper I'd get it!

**UPDATE: I ended up buying a full bottle of this for a good price on fragrance net!

Ramessesiisetepenre

As a gay man, I love this perfume—It’s candy-sweet 🍭, assertive, & bossy-confident; It’s definitely a signature scent. I wear it with Eros Flame edp.

blkleather_redlace

Orange flower candy. Boring. Too sweet. Not particularly offensive, but not dirty enough to be called Eros. I keep thinking we'll move beyond the early 2000s when women are supposed to smell like candy, but it seems like we'll never get there.

bunnycorcoran

This smells exactly like a children's detangling shampoo & conditioner...

Enchanted77

A nice, light citrus floral that’s not strong but is lasting. Perfect for a spring or summer day. I currently have this in a mini bottle to test. Although I may purchase a big bottle, I won’t likely do so til next spring as it doesn’t seem like it would be suitable for cold weather. This is definitely a like but not a love for me only because I tend to love more bold fragrances. Overall, I would describe Eros as pleasant.

Rizwan UK

Fruitful n refreshing smell on females

madonnatella

predominantly I bought this edp for the astonishing package and flacon. but I love all things Versace. you have to be a maximalist and love baroqueries. 'Less is less as far as I am concerned', Donatella. the strange thing however is that with the perfumes after 'Blonde', Versace never made a sticky, whorey, dripping, boudoiresque perfume anymore. yet I'll buy them, full bottle ! this perfume stands out for its extraordinary citric outblast when spritzed on. 'lemonblossom' I'd never seen anywhere as a note. but here it is and I sense it is the strongest note. it gives allusions to Giorgio Beverly Hills which I adore. I love lemons more than any other citrus fruit. I guess jasmin, jasmin and peony, and perhaps pomegranate, gave the perfume some indoles and body. sandelwood makes any citric overdose more agreeable. Alberto Morillas is very good with aromachemicals. the Ambroxan gives it further weight. but not exactly the weight that belongs to Versace. consult Dominique Ropion and Alberto (perhaps they hate each other) and make some walls of scent: a rose perfume, an oud-rose perfume, a civetted (or civettoned) heady souk perfume. that would be so much more Versace....

noseinheaven

I sampled Eros edp today and it is still so strong this evening. I really like strong perfumes, but this maybe too strong for me. Or else there is a note that is very prominent to my nose. The jasmine smells almost like tubéreuse for me. It is not the jasmine I am familiar with. It is very rich and strong. I’m not sure if I would grow to love this or not. It smells sexy, confidant, and very feminine.

fyetan

Generic citrus musky floral. I can't pick any of the notes out of it, it didn't even last a 30 minute walk even with four sprays on the arm (the sprayer head though is a very nice, gives a generous mist).

The edt is much nicer and smells like gummy bears.

Hum_C

I want to say this perfume totally sucks... if I could actually smell it! The scent is so weak that your average drugstore bodywash and bodylotion probably smells stronger than this. An absolute waste of money.

This was a blind buy. So far my impression of Versace fragrances has been generic perfumes in beautiful stunning bottles, except for Crytal Noir which smells great and also comes in a beautiful packaging.

GiareDiLuce

Citrusy (as all Versace fragrances), fruity (it has a mouthwatering juiciness to it, like a freshly cut fruit that is both sour and sweet), and of course white floral. Not exactly what the word "eros" evokes in my imaginary, but it's definitely in true Versace style. They actually make many light, fresh, fun fragrances for being such an opulent brand. The quality is good. Projection and longevity are not disappointing. Maybe not my fragrance for life, but I enjoyed wearing the sample as the weather got warmer. I would not wear this in autumn or winter.

aqua76239

Some fragrance houses is just a total loss for me. Versace is one of them. I gotten to try it recently and i immediately thought it reminded me of something else-Yellow Diamond. It has same sweet citrusy opening followed up with musky florals. I don't get bright fresh citrus which is what I normally would like(if fragrance has citrus in it). its sweeter fruitier one , kind of like lemonade. Normally jasmine and peony are my favorite floral notes but there is something here that doesn't sit right with me-maybe its too musky and there is something in it thats kind of cloying to my nose. This is very feminine scent, I see it as very girly, its not a bad fragrance, and if you are into sweeter florals with musk, this is nice enough but it doesn't do anything for me. Most Versace scents (with exception of Red Jeans) don't seem to last or project well. With 4 sprays of Eros, I got maybe a foot projection. I think you have to overspray this one. Gorgeous bottle but scent is kind of meh to me

aldinatic

This is really beautiful for spring, summer, it's feminine and calming :) It has a lighter Versace DNA but still recognizable :) The notes are really beautiful blended :) ,a little bit of everything and it projects sparkling in the air :) I feel beautiful wearing it :) Im in love with the lemon blossom in this beautiful sparkling perfume :)

MK55555

I like it in the opening. In the drydown i like it too but it gets me sick, i don't know why. I can't wear it on myself, but it is very nice on other people

ivanda

In short words - sunny Italy in the bottle. Citrusy notes, pomergranate - mmmm, Perfect for everyday wear as well as for any occasion. Simply great, fresh but very elegant and strong in the same time. Lasts all day. Classy!

bajablast

🍋🍋🍋 lemons 🍋🍋🍋. i think it's uplifting and inoffensive. the dry down is musky. no sweetness so it's great for hot weather. it's a no brainer for the summer

This was my second wearing, finishing out my small ~1 mL sample vial.

I didn’t really care for it on my first wearing, and I’m still not impressed the second time around. For the opening, I get a lemon/pomegranate combo with an added musk “oomph”--almost like a more sultry, grown-up cousin of Bright Crystal.

As time goes on, the lemon fades substantially, the peony joins to go party with the pomegranate, which becomes far more pronounced. Not a fan of the pomegranate/peony combo in the mid, but my dog can’t seem to get enough of it, so there’s that.

Towards the end, it becomes far less cloying, and a woody (sandalwood, supposedly?) accord joins the musk. Longevity is so-so, around 5-6 hours or so before it completely fades away on me.

I’d call it a safe summer blind buy for the feminine-leaning 25+ crowd, but I won’t be adding it to my collection anytime soon.

Koningin

I do like this one a lot. I can only wear it in the spring and summer time though. Cooler weather will do the scent no justice.
Longevity is pretty descent, but after 4 hours it becomes a skin scent.

Billysniffs

I am a big fan of Jasmine, and am looking for a new signature scent. I want to find that perfect one, but I still have not found it. Versace Eros is so enjoyable in the meantime, though! I really love this! It isn't offensive at all. It doesn't stay long. It's gone within a few hours as far as smelling it in the air, but I can still smell it close to my skin for the entire day and sometimes into the night as well. So, it's an intimate scent where you have to get close to smell it, but it IS still there clearly when you do. I think it does linger on the air pretty well for those few hours, though, and maybe half a day? But it isn't enough to overpower the room. That might be preferable to some to know people could smell you but not choke. I can smell the jasmine in it all day, and the peony, but the peony is just enough to feminine up the scent as a sidekick and not the main character. The citrus and lemon smell is detectable all day and on my skin as well, but not to where I'd really think 'citrus' or 'soap' or anything. I'd have to know it's in there to realize what it was I was smelling. When smelling it, I just think 'uplifting' and 'bright', though this perfume is more seductive than playful, so the 'bright' the citrus adds to it is just enough to keep it from sinking too serious. I think that gives it a confident air about it. It balances out the flowery smell to keep it from being overly young and girly, yet the jasmine and peony in there definitely leave no question that it's leaning feminine. That gives it power goddess vibes. I was impressed that it really did smell the way the commercials portray it, sexy, strong, confident. It's mature enough not to be an adolescent thing yet puts the breaks on long before having any kind of outdated feel. New and fresh and alive while still being wise and capable. Maybe that's why I think the whole god-like name and advertising works. Maybe those background woodsy notes are what makes it feel wise and strong? I can just sniff them in there too. None of it is overpowering, but I think if you focus you can sense most things that are in it, and it is a great combination! I really love it!

bleuciel

Sweet citrus. My favourite of all Versace scents. And I can see the resemblance to Dylan Blue. At first sniff, they're different, but then the drydown is quite similar. I would say they would pass for the same perfume to an untrained nose. The bottle is just ridiculous as always with the Versace house for this type of scent. The EDP has quite a good longevity and projection I find, for a citrus scent. The price is even more ridiculous, I guess we're paying for the fancy bottle?! I consider getting it for the summer, it doesn't smell cheap at all, and although generic (like most Versace scents), it's a nice classy generic.

DawnNdyria

OMG What can I say!! This is one of my Faves...I just love the sweetness and the long lasting power it has on me. I'm not really into just wearing a fragrance in certain seasons so I wear this whenever I feel the urge to wear it. I just ordered a 100ml bottle the very first bottle I had was a 50ml and lasted me a pretty good while but I love it so much that I got the larger size. The lasting power is amazing and it makes me feel happy and girly. I think this will be in my collection for quite a while.

zr.fragrantica

This perfume smells terrible with the first spray but after the dry down it smells lovely citrus and feminine. If you are looking for a scent with great silage and immediate first good impression this might not impress you

kandykiller

A queen of gold confettis& cut up smooth citrus Sicilian 🍋 lemon, florals lightly, refreshing ~def sexy& yet power in this, mood lifter, this spring summer scent
..doesn't bother anyone...unless they compliment & yet its not loud,crazy,cloying,crazy,, delicate & yet there,done very pretty...I think w♡w,lasts 6hrs,smiles awhiles!¡!

RosaMilena

Lovely Delicate Light Ethereal Floral Fruity Woody Musk. A little bit more than a sunny happy skin scent. Joyful and celebratory in feeling. Casual daytime hot weather friendly, yet cozy, fresh, not soapy clean, delicate sweet warmth from the jasmine sambac/grandiflorum, not sugary, not cloying. Lightweight woody/musk base. Easy to wear fun.

SaharaSara

There is no denying Eros is a compliment getter. It is not a ground breaking perfume but it is still a lovely scent! This is a great versatile spring/summer scent, soft white florals, juicy fruits and for me it is the Ambroxan and the woods in the base that just makes it enough to be elegant and borderline sexy.

It is very safe- great gift and a safe blind buy- you won't hate this but it might disappoint you if you expect anything special. This lasts 7+ hours on me and my skin eats fragrance up like nobody's business. I had this and loved it-- will I repurchase it? Maybe, but It is not on the top of my "to buy" list. Great for the office, great for day time!

poptwinkles

As someone who normally doesn’t like white florals, I love it in this blend and would never have thought that a citrus/fruity/floral pairing would smell this great! I love a fresh or citrus spin on florals (Chanel Chance eau Fraîche is one of my faves), but love it even more with a fruity note! I’d say this is an intimate scent with little sillage... happens to be my trend sadly. I have a small sample so I can’t tell you much other than I tend to not smell it much when I’m wearing it. Easy to wear this for the office or intimate settings. I’ll keep testing and update as needed. I wish it had more power to the scent as I love it. It’s the floral I was looking for (if you could smell it that is)!

Amy Ann

An acquaintance drove me crazy with this perfume, knowing that I collect feminist perfumes and she being a general collector of perfumes according to notes, she kept insisting that I would like this perfume, because it is I quote "for boss"....well I honestly didn't expect her to know what a feminist perfume is because in general the heirs and work, so modern feminism, aren't a...good combination. But I was curious so....I bought it...yes it lasts very little on the skin, but that didn't matter for me, instead the fragrance itself...it's a slightly woody floral citrus with a sweet note which go in and out for the all 45-55 minutes of the fragrance duration and that's it, it doesn't have finesse, it doesn't have power, it doesn't have verticality, it doesn't have anything to make me feel like punching the table, anything that would embrace me in a safety hug nothing.... I expected it to be honestly a harsh feminist perfume, because the outside world generally identifies the feminist concept with that, a very citrus, light masculin smell like DKNY Women Donna Karan.... isn't even that, is just a simple perfume, I can't even say it smells weird or bad, is translucent, nothing in, in my opinion of course.

FragranceFatale

Just to clarify the review below me the IFRA did not ban any of the below fragrances mentioned. What it has done has put restrictions on the amounts of certain ingredients able to be used in their fragrances due to new research on sensitivities and allergies in certain people. So this has forced the companies to either find new ingredients to replace some that were completely banned in their original recipes or reduce the amounts able to be used therefore affecting the way the fragrance smells in the end result. None of these things is the fault of the actual fragrance companies but the I F R A has in fact made this change. Obviously some of the fragrance companies have diluted their original recipes to make them smell Weaker but mostly the big changes have come from IFRA.

sleepy*weasel

This lasted 10 minutes on me, before I washed it off....an over strong, artificial fruity-citrus floral that obviously had a lot of input but can't compare to natural ingredients. Plus it gave me a headache. Given that IFRA thinks this is ok, yet banned things like the original Opium and Givenchy 3, I conclude the scent industry has taken a turn for the worse. I'd rather wear nothing than this, which fills a room and persists in a chemical way... And there are many like this. If you're sitting next to this at dinner or sharing a lift with this, you have my sympathy.

sunsetterxx

Sharp and strong citrus. this is a fresh scent with a bit floral in the background.

jellybeantree

I love this fragrance. It’s quite strong and uplifting and I reach for it in these strange times . I think it’s versatile and effortless which I need right now. I love the pomegranate mixed with white florals . It has an effect on me .

YesVeruca

Wow. These reviews are all over the place. Unlike most I get minimal citrus but a WHOMP of jasmine in the opening that keeps going until the ambroxan and musk kick in and then takes a backseat. Honestly my first thought was that the initial hit of jasmine and heavy sillage reminded me of Blonde, But Eros fades much faster and is like the Allegra to Blonde’s Donatella. This faded faster, wasn’t as in your face and settles into an intimate cozy musk scent.

hippiechick13

I love this fragrance, in the same way and vein that I enjoy Italian Citrus by Durga. They are both luxurious, warm, slightly powdery, very clean but tangy/fizzy, and sexy as hell. Summery, but without being fleeting.

I prefer the EDP for its durability on the skin and it seems to have an extra oomph to it.

Really lovely, and probably underrated too. It's a great feminine fragrance if you want to feel fresh and put together, as well as alluring. ;)

cha672

I like this perfume but when I wear it I get nauseous and have a headache

ntabassum92

I bought a mini of Versace Eros Pour Femme because my husband wears Eros (the men's version.) I wanted to see if I could like this enough to make it my signature, since the bottles would look so cute standing next to each other. Indeed, even the mini standing next to his bottle was super adorable. I do like this, but not enough to buy a larger bottle of it, unless it was very cheap.

Eros Pour Femme opens up fruity, I do smell a sweet but tart pomegranate note. I wish this note was stronger, as there is also a sharp, synthetic jasmine slicing through everything. As Eros dries, the musky lemony florals come through stronger and slightly warmer. It does a similar thing on the skin as Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue, in that they warm and sweeten on the skin and waft more beautifully. But they don't smell the same, Eros is more of a fruity-floral than a citrus-woody, although they do share a lemon that sweetens as it develops.

I do enjoy Eros Pour Femme in the warm sun and open air, wafting around me. It makes the air smell good, makes you wonder if you are smelling sweet flowers, sweet laundry, or your own sweet skin. For an EDP, it doesn't last that long, though. After about 2-3 hours, it is a skin scent, that I have to hunt down to smell (and sometimes can't find.) For this reason, I wouldn't buy this unless it was in the $20 range.

MLK

I love this fresh citrus scent, has a great woodsy, musk dry down. Not offensive at all, easy and fresh to wear during the day to work or out to lunch and can also be worn at night.
The bottle is also amazing and looks very much like a Versace piece of jewellery, with all the gold and beautiful gold cap with medusa head. I am really getting into Versace fragrances such as crystal noir, yellow diamond and pour femme, this is also very nice for a newish Versace fragrance. I suggest you try it for yourself before purchasing, I loved it from first spray!

ignorabilis

I've tried a lot of different fragrances in the last weeks and I didn't find this very unique. It's a nice and pleasent scent, great for every day and office. So worth a try if you're searching for a perfume like this but nothing to go crazy over.

Devils_Adv0cate

I wanted to like this so much but I just don't. It's lemon, for sure, but not enough like real lemon for me to like it - far too synthetic/chemical. Not to mention on me it spreads over a room and then completely dies after an hour or two. On drydown it is better but I still don't like it. It's not terrible but I certainly wouldn't spend much money on it.

humairum

Got it as a present.
Fresh tangy citrus scent. I loved it in summer day time as an alternative to D&G Light Blue.

Liene

Eros is a typical creation from Versace. Opens with strong citruses, which sparkles in white florals and sets (or not really) into light creamy and warm woodiness.

Opening is a nice bergamot accompanied with light jasmine and soon brightened with lemon, sparkling and nice. In the first hour however it turns extremely animalic, sharp and loud with rather tangy, almost peppery lemon blossom and sour pomegranate. Only some aromatic citrus grounds it somehow. Intrusive. Kind of bad decisions scent. Drydown is ambery, also slightly woody with whiffs of musk, not really rounded though, as those sour florals cannot be tamed.
It took me some time to find it imbalanced. Eros (as the name could suggest?) could easily become indecent, so not really parents and office safe. Better sprayed with caution as it is not as light and nice as very opening would suggest. I'd even say, test carefully and don't blind-buy.
Moderate sillage with staying power of three to four hours, and four more Eros is traceable on and close to the skin.

In comparison to Vanitas EDP (which is classy and more mature), this one is her messy drama-queen friend. There is some resemblance in the first forty minutes (also not at the very first opening) and then it is just 'I don't care I'm getting in trouble' scent.

perfume crazy lady

An excellent feminine fresh fragrance for day time. Has good staying power.

Henglertdavis

My love for lemon, peony and musk showcase beautifully in this perfect daily fragrance. It is a wonderful combination of uplifting scents. Right now I believe we all need a sprinkling of happiness and this is my little dose.

ekowala7

Listen, I try to always find the positives of a fragrance and give a relatively objective review. Yes, we all have preferences and mine will shine through with my overall ratings, but I try not to hate on a particular fragrance just because it didn't work for me.

That being said, I really don't like this fragrance and struggle to come up with words that could make this review positive. This is an overtly sweet, citrusy floral bomb. This is one of the few fragrances that triggers headaches for me - and for that reason, please note the lower rating. I think this would be great on the right person, but me and this fragrance do not get along.

Longevity is really strong 6-8 hours and silage is heavy.

Overall (for me) 2/10, I could see this being up to 7/10 for someone who gets along with it!

eaglegrad16

Unfortunately did not work for me. I bought a .5oz trial size dabbed on half and could barely smell any notes. Possibly a great light fragrance for a young woman or teen, but definitely not for a 30+ woman.

maayan4

Perfect for Summer !!
Sophisticated refreshing hydration scent

katsong

Unfortunately, this smells like mid-priced hairspray to me.

I enjoy the EdT much more! It's much brighter with the raspberry note.

pacsalia

the EDT version is much better, more fruity and lasts longer.:) i don´t like the EDP version… it is cold like menthol and isn´t feminin enough!
But the EDT is the best summer scent i´ve tried :)

xx2901

I find this erotical on sunny days. This is my summer dress and flip flops companion.
The top notes are like refreshing natural lemon body spray, later on warm skin it becomes milky creamy white floral reminiscent of some kind of sun screen. The woody undertones give the vibes of Light Blue. It's absolutely sexy and inviting, like you have spent all morning at the beach and now having siesta.

rihamania

it is a very bright and strong scent. i'm not a big fan of citrus notes but i like that one. i had a sample of Vanitas and Eros is like the little loud naughty sister of Vanitas. Vanitas is more classy and discrete. Eros is beautiful citrussy scent with a hint of sweet fruity something. It's a very unique scent that i would distiguish it after many years.great projection... very long lasting. but it's not a safe blind buy.

bintTapputi

This is a fantastic everyday fragrance, especially compared to the EDT. It's very clean, very fresh smelling. Kind of soapy, which I like. I tried it along side the EDT and Chloe Love Story since it was mentioned a few times. I don't see any similarities. Eros is not sweet or youthful like Love Story. The woody notes here with the delicate floral ones make for a very interesting fragrance. I wish the initial burst of smell lingered longer, as it is the highlight. But either way, this is a good safe perfume without being too complex or calling attention to itself. 6/10

(The dry down is very soapy, if you like that kind of thing I think it's done very well here. My mom preferred the EDT to the EDP, so I think for someone who likes sweeter more feminine fragrances the EDT is more appropriate for them)

sophiagardenia

Didn't know the terpenoid ambroxin was in this... I know a lot of people report smelling the lemon blossom flowers prominently, but I get A LOT of musk and amber, but not in a skin-like, after shower, spicy, depthful, lovely way. It's very sharp and has a similar vibe to YSL Black Opium, but with a citrus twist. I was surprised people thought this was summery and springy, it smells like a fall/winter scent since it is so musk-heavy. I would expect a spring/summer scent to be much lighter. I don't think I'd EVER reach for this one. It is uninspiring and not lovely enough to sport, I have other citrus fragrances as well as other musk fragrances I find much more gorgeous. ALTHOUGH - the bottle is absolutely STUNNING. I don't regret the purchase as the packaging is so glamorous. I just like to look at it.
Edit: The dry down is actually MUCH nicer and fresher, although it takes about 4-5 hours to get to :(

mariceltroitino

A clean, citrus white floral. When you first spray it feels almost unisex, honestly, maybe because it is so musky. Becomes a little sweeter as it dries down. Pretty long-lasting and really good sillage. I mainly wear it in the summer and spring. Have received compliments on smelling clean and fresh. The name "Eros" doesn't match the juice inside at all though--this is a zesty, bright daytime scent (I have worn it during summer nights too); not really a sexy one like the name/bottle would have one think. It is also not very unique, but I still enjoy it occasionally. Not gonna lie, this can be very headache-inducing and overwhelming to the point of nausea if one sprays too much, so watch out for that. I hear the EDT is a lot sweeter. The drydown is very nice, yes. And I think it would work really well for the office, as others have said.

Nijntje

Dear lord, what a mess. Screechy toilet scent, body spray past the expiration date, mildly revolting wet wipes on the bottom of your purse.

I'm usually very impressed with Olivier Cresp but this is a stain on his resume (at least on my skin). Well, it's a collab, always a toss-up.

Yup, there's the headache. It does project, seriously stinks up any room. So tacky. My stomach actually just clenched when a wave of nausea hit me. I will instantly hate anyone wearing this. It seems impossible for a scent to be this eye-wateringly awful. The only thing I can think of is that the sour lemons and pomegranate are spoiling the flowers forming a sort of rotten, highly synthetic paste over a dilapidated musk. I can't take this.

Going to cut off my hand now. GAH.

EDIT: Saw this in a YouTube video from Curly Scents with 2 guys blind testing frags. They both hated this. It might develop into something wonderful on the skin of some women, but tread with caution. The EdT version also causes migraines. Not a safe blind buy nor a safe present.

Nicki6089

Citrusy, floral, musky and sweet this is definitely a repurchase

Gabzzz

I tired the eau de toilette version first and I was really into it, but when I tried the perfume I found its smell really unpleasent. Not for me

Annata

This is the best perfume ever. Even I’ve tried to personalize other perfumes I end up getting back to eros. It’s the best, a very very beautiful scent. I get compliments every time I wear it.

italiancandi

It isn’t the most unique scent however very pretty! Initially I thought it was generic nothing special but as others say a great dry down. Wore to work today for the first time ( I have had this for 3 years or more now) It lasted 6-7 hours max on my skin but still faintly smell it on my clothes.

derliesl

I don't care too much for this perfume, but the dry down is TO DIE FOR. The first hours of this perfume are bright and happy, a joyful citron with a musky and flower undertone. A bit too bland and predictable, maybe a bit too safe for my taste. However, after 6 hours this perfume transforms in the most amazing smell on earth. Very warm and cozy, but at the same time clean and not cloying. I just don't want to spray 6 spritzes and wait for hours until the fragrance makes this beautiful transformation. It's a very safe buy, a pleasant smell and office proof, day and night. I wish I could buy the dry down separately.

Atomikbomb_

I'm still waiting on a Versace to blow me away, but this is mildly delightful and I have nothing negative to say!

It is crisp (I really love that adjective). Lemon, more lemon, refreshing cool florals, and a GOOD musk (albeit generic). Maybe a bit of wood too.

There is some overthinking and over-explaining surrounding this. I'm all for that sometimes, but today I'm in a mood to keep things simple...

This is a little metallic, citrusy, cool and very white floral. It's a good all-around summer fragrance, and in glad I have a mini bottle 🍋

Rosemary14

This is zesty, uplifting, refreshing. You must like the smell of lemon to like this one! When it combines with the lemon, bergamot, lemon blossom, and pomegranate it gives this fragrance a sweet pomegranate lemonade feeling. It has a pretty jasmine heart and the musk, ambroxan, and woody notes round it out nicely. The peony in this was a stroke of genius adding a touch of freshness. If you want to smell like a delicious sweet lemonade then this one is a must for your collection. It’s pleasant, but it’s not a love for me.

Lučanská

Warm, seductive vanilla scent. I own this and it is my favorite Versace scent. I prefer the eau du toilette to the parfum

kitsunemagic

I absolutely love this perfume! Very refreshing, clean and beautiful! Eros in my opinion reminds me of a wedding on the beach, the white flowers decorated all over the reception and the brides bouquet with catching whiffs of the citrus trees near the beach. Eros lasted me about 6-7 hours max, the scent is light enough for the work place but has a subtle trail

JustSimpleThings

This is lovely! So refreshing in the hot, humid weather we are having in Auckland at the moment (and all summer lol...).

A crisp lemony white floral with a hint of spiciness and honey! It's like a ray of sunshine but a cooling ray if that makes sense? Weird but great! I love it!

Eros Pour Femme EDP - you may not be unique, but you ARE a masterpiece!

elledeelee

To me this is very much reminiscent of the sugar coated lemon sherbets from my childhood. That's a nice memory but I don't want to smell like it. There's a touch of bergamot here, but not much else going on. It's overly sweet, immature, unsophisticated, and uninspiring.

Bebe70

I don't know how Eros eau de toilette smells like, but Eros eau de parfum is almost identical to another Versace's creation: This is Yellow Diamond or to be more accurate, Yellow Diamond Intense.
I am amazed that Versace House has created a perfume 95% similar to another perfume of theirs.
Buy this one or Y.D. There's almost zero difference.

KayGee906

Initially, I smell floral & citrus. Once it dries down, it's still a heavy floral citrus with a musky undertone. It makes me feel like I'm going to sneeze, so I'm not really a fan of this one and I'm glad I only bought the little $6 sample blotter bottle. Additionally, I think it's more of a bright, aquatic, cheery fragrance that's suitable for day, summer, or spring.

ptilda

Warning: this is not a positive review, but it is written with thought and honesty for the benefit of those who need to know. If you disagree, please respectfully move on so that others can benefit from an honest combination of positive AND negative reviews.

I tested this perfume some years ago and wrote in my notes that it's boring and "same old." My tastes have changed and developed since then, however, so I was interested in trying it again when I got a carded sample in a package from a friend.

Unfortunately, my opinion has not gotten better. If anything, it's gotten worse. This is what I would refer to as "perfume soup." It's a mishmash of notes with little rhyme or reason. Floral, fruity, sweet, and fresh, all crammed like so many clowns into the same tiny car.

As it dries down, it clears up a bit and individual notes almost identify themselves, but to be honest, by that point, I've lost interest in the scent and am actually annoyed by it.

To me, this is the fragrance of someone who just doesn't care. She got this as a gift because she'd never buy perfume herself . . . What a waste! She sprays one spray of this when she remembers, for special occasions. The rest of the time it gets shoved to the back of her cluttered counter behind the dry shampoo and box of tampons where it collects dust and eventually turns bad. So she gives the bottle to her aunt to display because "it's pretty."

Michelle12345678

This smells like roses to me, even though the notes don't list rose. Roses and lemon. I don't really get the 'woody' aspect people are talking about. Pretty, citrusy, feminine. Not anything that stands out, but it's pleasant.

dglightblue

I loved this the other daywhen Itried it.
I tested side by side (sbs) with the edt.

Today testing the edp sbs with coach floral.

Its fresh, Rounded and clean/slightly dewy
Very gentle non-dry woods somewhere
Not miles away from vanitas, though vanitas has a deeper rich shampooey clean floral? Feel

Eros edp is easy to wear, I cannot name the notes but reading the accords I guess that makes sense.
I actually guessed ozonic, woods or slight aldehydes initially..
I dont feel this is obviously citrus or white floral, I think this is super well blended, I cannot perceive specifics, I am bias I like this scent category.
Will comment soon as to longevity- I have had it on maybe an hour

ArianeArborene'sNose

I liked this more than I expected to, given the grandiose golden bottle and the sensual name. I thought a perfume named Eros by a house like Versace was going to be overwhelmingly sexy and opulently too much. But this is more like a bright, zingy daytime perfume. It is way more cheerful than I expected. If you had to give it a color palette, I would say it is bright yellow and bright green. But its name would imply deep reds and purples. At any rate, it is a quality perfume, you know it did not come from the drugstore or mall store, and it has some kick to it. Would I go out of my way for this perfume? Unfortunately not, since it is not that unique. But if someone loves this type of perfume, it lasts well and speaks of quality, so one could do worse with a lot of other, cheaper-smelling perfumes.

scent of rain shop

This fragrance may be a new and different class of Versace fragrances. Although it doesn't smell like a masterpiece. But in terms of sillage and longevity, the quality of the glass and aroma has improved compared to previous fragrances. This fragrance is citrus-white floral just like the fragrances that are popular nowadays, and most of the famous brands, including Versace itself, have produced. Yellow Diamond is produced in almost the same atmosphere. But Eros is not a copy of previous works. However, it was not my favorite.

Cathped

It has a majestic design, but the juice itself is not something outstanding. It a rather common fruity fresh sweet fragrance. It could might as well be a celebrity perfume...! It smells of pineapples, oranges and woody. But like Dylan Blue the content is not very impressive. I know better fruity perfumes...

kimberry2219

I fell in love with this the first time I smelled it! Definitely recommend for a day time office scent, or when you want to impress “important” people. It’s pretty and alluring. Love it.

Auragin

This is not offensive on my skin, and the drydown is also not offensive, however I feel as if my grandmother should be wearing it. I definitely detect the tang of lemon, but it is not overwhelming. I am afraid that while I have no complaints about this perfume, I do not have any stellar review either. It did not stand out for me in any way other than I really want to gift it to a daring granny who will wear it on a sunny summer day whilst grocery shopping.
Meh.

Christina8910

My initial reaction to the first spray of Eros was, "Pledge furniture polish?" There is a sharpness to the initial spray as other reviewers stated, but on my skin it quickly simmers down into a soft, citrusy fragrance with a bare hint of white floral. Bergamot notes pull strong from my skin, so I get that note throughout the day. It sits very close to the skin on me.

In the spring when I first tried it I was lukewarm about it overall, however, now that summer is here, I reach for it frequently. In a sea of the popular Light Blue I detect everywhere I go, I think Eros is a refreshing alternative. While I like it for summer, I do not anticipate repurchasing.

Coffee_Girl

I agree with Nikki below...the lemon is much too sharp! You can tell this was made with a lot of synthetics and not enough natural ingredients. If they dialed back on the harsh lemon a tiny bit the result would be much smoother and much more refined.

There's something about this perfume that makes me a feel a little like an Italian gangster's gf... I would imagine Adriana from The Sopranos would bathe in this. It's a little Jersey Shore, a bit "KLASSY", cheap trying to be elegant. No other perfumes makes me want to wear tiger print and zebra stripes with pink pleather hot pants like Eros.

I will keep this just because it's unique and fun, great for nights in Last Vegas with no underwear.

Jacquis

In the hot hot heat of summer (90+ degrees), this Eros EDP is lovely. The opening citrus is very short lived. Instead, it morphs quickly into a lovely fresh and creamy jasmin soft floral. Very pleasant and adaptable to any situation. In all other seasons, I'd say Eros is just "ok" and fairly nondescript. But in summer, this is special. Longevity is moderate, sillage is small. Good summer staple.

DarlingNikki

Too much harsh lemon in this one to enjoy. It only needs bergamot and then I think it would be a nice, wearable office safe scent in the usual citrus/floral/fruity style. That lemon, though, ugh. Industrial strength lemon-scented bathroom cleaner to my nose...

SalinasL

Like many here, I have mixed feelings about this perfume. It was a Christmas gift from my husband, who brought three tester strips out of the store for me to smell and this was the one I chose. When I opened it, I was pleased. I particularly liked catching the scent of it on my hair now and then. It had a wistful and expensive feel. I don’t know if it’s the change in weather or a change in my own perception/preferences but somehow I’ve gone off it slightly. The opening seems harsh and tinny, which I think is the citrus notes, and it doesn’t settle the way I remember. The pomegranate is non-existent on me and the jasmine and peony never really develop. The harsh lemon scent lingers into the dry down. However, I think it’s one that I’ll continue to try and will probably enjoy again at times.

Edit 2020: This has really opened up in the heat. It’s been 30°C here and the lemony notes are more proportionate and well-rounded, as are the jasmine and peony. It’s an overall softer scent now with an exotic feel. Makes me think of Sophia Loren. Still might not be an everyday scent or signature, but I’m enjoying getting to know it better.

Edit 2023: I’m back a few years later and thinking of switching my “like” to “love.” The lemon is so strong and a bit salty in the beginning like a sour candy; it’s literally making my mouth water. In the background I can sense the creamy amber/jasmine base the perfume dries down to. Today it feels so bright and happy.

what is this I don't even

A beautiful citrus that fades to a pretty jasmine. I like the creamy lemon blossom opening. Sheer and work appropriate. I wish the longevity was better on me, though, as it is gone within a hour.

I've tried this one several times. Firstival I've marked it with "Like", citrusy, easy to wear, nothing special, a little bit sweet. But after another few times I've had to change my decision and give it a dislike. I am considering mostly price here. I really can't imagine myself spending 40€ for 50ml of this. It's okay, werable but smells like 10000 other fragrances in this category. Okay, I admit that I am overally not so drawn into fresh, citrusy kind of scents but there are still MUCH better, more unique perfumes and some even for a lot cheaper. So I just refuse rate perfumes of this price and from such a well-known designer house positively just becouse they are "okay". No, if you want our money, you have to try harder.

Also I don't even like men's version of Eros but I have to admit that bottles for both versions are very pretty.

I know, i know, people seems to love it so its probably not that generic at all for you, it is just my point of view :)

This is the first time I've worn or bought a Versace fragrance. I can't believe it took me this long to finally get to it! I blind-bought Eros in mini form and am learning that I won't be buying it in a larger size. I like it, but was hoping I would have liked it more. I think I don't care for the lemon and pomegranate up top together, just the scent of the combination of those notes. On the plus side, I'm surprised how long it lasts on my skin. I don't think this is a bad fragrance, it actually seems to be of high quality, but I don't find it very interesting. I enjoyed trying Eros and look forward to experiencing more Versace perfumes. I've become inspired by the story of Gianni and Donatella, and the family empire they built from humble beginnings. It makes me want to appreciate their perfumes even more.

sibilinadela

I had this one from my aunt and she said this is her favorite one.. And i first time i try oh I LOVE IT!!so unique and bold, daring too.. And i always use this parfume when i go dinner or party at night, long lasting and love the stronggg smell!! So classy fragrance!!

madonnatella

well, this is a strong perfume. I spritzed three doses
of the perfume in the nape of the neck and on my pulse
at 5.00am and at 1.00pm I still smelled the perfume as
strongly as in the morning (8 hours +). what I smelled
were lemons, lemonblossom (perhaps that, the strongest),
flowers (apart from^): peony, jasmine; fruit especially
citrus (lemon, lime, pomegranate) and woody notes (this
peering sandelwood, 'woody notes', ambroxan and musk)
(as I read Alberto Morillas of Mizensir was one of the
creators I knew I could at least smell his [artificial] musk
because with Mizensir (Poudre d'Or, Rose Exaltante) he
is a master with it and my 'half-the-populace-anosmia'
for these musks dwindles as snow for sun). Versaces
'Eros pour Femme' is a rambunctious perfume almost
a kind of Giorgio (but they also had that with the Madonna
co-curated 'Blonde') and it is predominantly, as one rev.
said above: sharp perfume, aspect coming from the unique
lemonblossom. today however I got a 'whole' perfume,
the notes well blended and nevertheless the lemonscent
dominated. usually I am not so fruity (yet I am a fruit) but
I guess with the pomegranate the citricity got some mellow
vibe. (or a facilitator.) yes this is a big perfume with the
Versace-esthetics written all over it: scent over the top,
packageing hugely over-the-top (I immediately fell for the
flacon and box); it drops the neat Ralph Lauren, Burberry,
damsel esthetics. on the red carpet a percentage (highest)
of Atelier Versace combined with the equally over the top
ultraluxurious de Grisigono haute joillarie because we
enter not the red carpet with L'Air du Temps or Acqua di
Gio. I loathe the demure, masculin women fashions of
Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani while their gents clothes
are phenomenal. then to enter with such a threatening vile
bombshell of a perfume seems much more L.A., Milan.
I have to admit I had to grow into this perfume (while
I never veer away from strong perfumes) but I guess we're
good friends now. I have always loved Versace and who
cares if Donatella has had her lips done over-the-top or
Madonna her butt XXL. they run billion $ businesses and
it goes with the territory of (faux) representability. brava !

Like the previous review, I got the Versace sampler. And also like the previous review, I immediately thought of honeysuckle when I smelled this.

Definitely bright and fresh. My husband likes it too.

But to me, it seems a little generic and safe. Not necessarily a bad thing, it still smells pleasant, and I'll definitely use the entire mini. But it's not something I want a full bottle of.

SprayItJustSo

I ordered the 5 piece Versace sampler. Adorable tiny bottles. Love them!
This was the one I thought I would enjoy the most but as much as I want to like I it, I just don’t.
I get honeysuckle right away though it’s not listed. Perhaps it’s the jasmine and the blossom? It reminds me of so many frags my grandmother used to wear. For that I will keep this for the times I want to remember playing with Avon’s Sweet Honesty in her room as a child. It reminds me of that though this has more dimension for sure.
It’s not bad it’s just me at all. Definitely a summer frag for daytime to me.

rola.asad

A nice day-to-day summer scent!
The opening departs from the dry-down like I've never experienced with any other fragrance!!!!The opening is all about jasmine and the dry-down is all about fresh lemon,,, straight FRESH LEMON,,,,, which makes it perfect for a hot summer day, when you wake up early and get ready to start your day, wear your clothes and then use this lovely,,,,"good morning Jasmine". Few hours later it will be the noon, and it is so hot right now,, But EROS is here for you,, the fresh lemon is all around!!

NoelleNice

This is an enjoyable scent. I was surprised that after sampling it in store a few times I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I ended up getting a small bottle. It’s not a knock out nor particularly unique but it’s quite pretty. It makes a nice day-wear scent. It is a soft, sweet, musky light floral. For me it becomes sweeter as it warms up. The fruitiness of what must be the pomegranate (but to my nose smells genetically fruity) hangs around on me. I’m not sure I could stomach the EDT. I actually prefer this scent in colder weather as it has a slightly creamy fresh edge then. As for the bottle design, it’s a bit tacky in that faux lux kind of way. I don’t find it appealing, but as I have a little 30ml it’s cute enough to not look too crass amongst the other bottles.

annamaria_

I'd always avoided this one because the tasteless bottle had made me think of a cloying, sweet One Million dupe.
But I saw the notes here, on fragrantica, and I gave it a try!

This is so so pretty. It's a soft bouquet of white flowers (it's not a choking jasmine + gardenia old-fashioned combo), with a bright citrus and a green note, reminiscent of citrus leaves. I loved it since the first sniff!
My mother said the green note smells just like dill to her nose, but I don't think so, as I hate dill.
Longevity is unfortunately average.
Sillage is moderate.

Janetseng

Okay, this one is interesting for me. I got a test and i immediately fell for it so i sprayed it on my wrists AND ORDERED IT RIGHT AWAY, 3 hours later my nose scent just completely changed. i found the smell so strong that it would not go away, this one is definitely long lasting, i could still it on left wrist two days later. Had to return it!

albena.alexandrova

I have long planned to buy this perfume. I got it in the winter, but it's maybe a spring, summer scent. I like it very much - feminine, sexy, soft, smooth. I do not feel any sharp citrus, it is sweet and very enchanting.

Hewlett

I really liked this perfume in the bottle, but something changed as soon as I sprayed it. Too strong, too much citrus and nothing to weight it down.

It made me nauseas and gave me a headache.

I love the bottle, but unfortunatly not the juice inside :(

lcaruso17

While the floral heart is ****nothing original****, the overall composition of the fragrance is fairly well done and well blended. It has a strong impact though-spray lightly (unless you like going for very strong scents)

ReneeW1

Wow! This fragrance is light, fresh, clean, and feminine. It is all citrus with a very nice balance of sweetness, like putting sugar on a grapefruit, its never too sweet and it isn't overly complex.
This scent has a very subtle sexiness that peaks out after the dry down. Its also office safe. Summer or spring fragrance.

It lasts about 6 to 8 hours on me and the last few hours it is a skin scent. It also becomes a little more generic at this point but is still nice. Also has a soft to moderate scent trail.

Love it! Definitley worthy of a FB.

EDIT: This fragrance has become one of my favorites and I wear it often during the spring and summer months.

lanelipton

inoffensive; fine for the office. undistinguished.

Penny Royale

I don't get how people think this isn't sexy. It's not dark or overpoweringly warm or heady, or nauseatingly complex, but those aren't the only ways a perfume can be sexy. To me, this is Acqua Di Gioia's hot, intimidating older cousin. It opens with a sharp, tangy burst of lemon zest and herbal-woodsy notes, and then it settles to something lemony and gorgeous, much like the initial spray but warmed up a bit. It's not sweet, and it stays sharp all the way through, almost aggressively so, just this side of vinegar. I don't get white floral or fruit notes. It's all woodsy citrus to my nose, with the sharpness of pomegranate juice. I live in a coastal part of California, and there are pungent, herbal-smelling plants all along the bluffs. This reminds me of those, like being outside on a hot day with coastal plants and lemons radiating their scent into the warm, dry air. I really love this stuff. It's good in spring and summer, day or night, and I always get compliments when I wear it, but because it's in that Italian citrus fragrance family, I don't hear "your perfume is nice" as often as I hear "you smell good." The sillage and longevity are both good. This is my signature scent in warm weather. It's a coastal Sicilian lemon grove in a bottle. And yes, it IS sexy.

nehagawde589

Its citrus, fresh and fruity with Little of sweetness. It stays almost 7 to 8 hrs on my skin which is very rare. I loved the fact that even after settling down, the sweetness stays with you. I can actually smell the fragrance on my clothes after 3-4 days if I spray it on my clothes ( which is again very rare) It is a luxury and can be use on date with your man or some wedding functions. Not for daily use for sure

12birch

Comment only based on final notes after 5 hours.
-Strong sweet smell e.g. candy

rickyfreaky13

Eros? No. Pretty? Yes.

monicabalteanu

No sweetness, no romance, nothing sexy! Just a fresh, bright & clean fruity-floral juice perfect for summer in a gorgeous bottle! With its solar power, it helps you recharge your batteries and radiate with happiness. IMO, it's much better (as a women's fragrance) than D&G Light Blue as it has no lavender in it. The more I smell it, the more I like it! Projection is moderate and longevity seems to be quite satisfactory.

baerro

I was looking forward to the more citrus/fruity scents when I got a sample of this: lemon, pomegranate, etc. I like jasmine, too. But on my skin I don't get any of those - mainly, it's musky peonies, with a hint of jasmine. Which isn't a bad scent at all. Just not what I expected. If you like musky florals (equally suitable for work and a date night), then there's no reason to pass this up.
