Alcatraz is still breaking things!
Alcatraz, Bastille and his grandfather travel to the Free Kingdoms and the city of Nalhalla, the Smedry homeland only to find the counsel of kings is about to sign a treaty with the Evil Librarians. Bad idea!
As with the other books in the series, there is narration by the author throughout. Most of it funny. The book is a quick read and intended for younger readers. It is entertaining and fun to read. If you are a parent and read books with your kids, this is a great choice. Do parents read bedtime stories with their kids anymore?
"Rotating Rothfusses! You surprised me, lad!"
"Amazing Abrahams, lad!"
"Wasted Westerfields! That was exciting, eh, lad?"
"Debating Dashners! We're late!"
"Jabbering Joneses, people!"
"Manhandling Moons!"
"Highlighting Heinleins, man! This is insanity."
"Velcroed Verns, of course not!"
"Hiccuping Huffs!"
I was a bit disappointed in this one. The pace was a lot slower and the action almost none existing.
The interruptions in the beginning of each chapter was just plain annoying, and it didn't help the pace of the book.
I think I'm taking a break form this series for now - will get back to it later in the year.
You want to be a better person? Go listen to someone you disagree with. Don't argue with them, just listen. It's remarkable what interesting things people will say if you take the time to not be a jerk.¡Qué final!
