Heavenly lychee tea. What a beatiful citrus, slightly sweet, fragrance.

I dunno what LVI smells like, but I can say this is really gorgeous. Almost masterpiece status. Seriously this is so good.

If you like fresh citrus, don't sleep on this. Go to zara rn and try it.

The perfect day to day, casual cologne.
9.5/10

bbkoru

nice scent but awful longevity. i recommend all to buy something else. because after 2hrs there will be nothing. because of that price is just ok.

scent -> 8/10
sillage -> 2/10
longevity -> 3/10

Hashem Kudsi

Only kinda close in the drydown

ali_minaj

my best friend wanted to buy himself a perfume and he were poor so i tell him to buy this perfume <3 this is a good perfume for its price ! very simillar to Imagination from Luis Vuitton!

joao.bernardo

I have batch 41060 (April 2024) and it’s lasting 12h easily, with moderate projection, I got a few compliments already, pretty much everytime I wear it I get one. Never tried such good zara fragrance, might be my skin chemistry but even from the cap this perfume smells amazing :) totally worth the price and I might grab extra bottles

chaoticsniffer

No sillage no longevity. Just a perfume freak can feel that Imagination-ish vibe. Sold it for half the price right after I bought. I don’t recommend it at all.

SILLAGE&LONGEVITY 3/10

Arber Cami

From the first spray you know this is a clone of LV Immagination. Bright, orange, spicy, ambery scent. Side to side comparing the two you will find differences of course: LV Immagination has better quality ingredients and is also better constructed, but in the air they smell 90% similar and no one will ever tell the difference. Im very happy with my bottles of Sunrise on the red sand dunes from Zara...I dont need to pay LV money to be honest. Longevity decent, I get 6+ hours (2023 batch)

zizou88

Great smell, opens very citrussy/fresh. Drydown is almost like AdP fico di amalfi, but more green. But this one projects better imo, already had people giving compliments and asking for which perfume I wore. Longevity is around 3-4 hours. For the price, it is a really great scent to have in your collection for the summer.

FragGentlman

This is a nice one, my review is based on a mid 2023 batch I believe, so I can't talk about recent reformulations. This is a citrus bomb at first spray but dries down into a smooth citrusy tea vibe that I really enjoy, although I consider it leaning masculine I can see why some might consider it unisex. Can't comment on the similarities with LV Imagination because I never smelled it but I can say that when I picture someone wearing this fragrance it's in the spring/summer wearing a nice luxurious shirt and shorts in a very relaxed mood. Sillage is very strong in the opening and I consider it a decent performer, around 4/5 hours for me, also is one of the few Zara fragrances that doesn't have a synthetic funky undertone that stays when drying down. A good addition to any collection in my opinion.

Ch73

I don’t feel it strong but I smell a soapy aroma more than citrus like you just get off the bath

Shvraz

Upon buying a few months ago the first spray is very harsh and did not last. After sitting around it has become longer lasting and got rid of the harshness. This is a ginger bomb with citrus. A thing I noticed is although it smells very fresh and clean it'll transition into this nasty musk which throws me off. I still do really like this and took me some time to appreciate it. Good cheap freshie for the summer. Also the atomizer is so nice and I believe pressurized?

fraglawyer

Smells nothing like LV Imagination. Like the kids say, “Stop the Cap.”

(In 2024, “cap” means lie.)

Avery么

I'm not sure if its smells like imagination or not but I think its an average frag and it doesn't deserve the hype.
It smells just like a floral soap and fresh nothing else.
Also the longevity on my skin was between 3 and 4 hours.

FredericoFurtado

It is a perfume that was very surprising for its value.
It smells very good and fresh for summer, its projection performance and duration is moderate, lasting up to 5 hours depending on the person, maybe 3 hours.
For its value, it is well worth adding to your fragrance collection.

springsfloralair

To me this smells like it's trying to be a clone of Fico di Amalfi. I have this on one hand and FdA on another, and they carry a really similar presence. Sunrise has a no mint which I prefer, replacing it with the ginger/orange accord which could be described as mildly minty in its freshness. Where Amalfi strikes an extremely strong mint leaf note, Sunrise is more a calm tea-like fragrance, but I would say they could be considered in the same family if you've smelled FdA. Despite lacking the intense mint, it's still more in the category of FdA, compared even to other calm (tea-like) fragrances I own such as Wulong Cha and Mefisto/SMW.

CrispyNicholas4

It’s either I’m currently noseblind because of the current changing weather which is causing me to get a lot of nosebleeds or it doesn’t suit my skin but I’m barely even getting 1-2 hours.

It’s very citrusy and delicious I’d say. To put a simple image: it’s morning and you’re peeling a citrus fruit and you smell your fingers for absolutely no reason. The smell of the zest on your fingers is exactly how I would describe what I smell from this but without the weird impurities on your fingers. Now I don’t know what type of citrus it would smell like and I’ve never eaten bergamot so I can’t exactly confirm but It’s a very relaxing smell that I really enjoy.

Performance: 2/10
Smell: 10/10

Overall: 6/10

Eeeehshure

This is suffering Zara's curse of discontinuing their bangers and keeping their dogshit. Get one of the few left in the shelves, theyre not making it anymore. Its soft, creamy, fresh and soapy. Very elegant men fragrance.

PaperRouteP

I’m not smelling many similarities to Imagination but it’s great on its own. The opening is very harsh and almost made me give up on it but the dry down is amazing but the longevity is trash. I have to layer with the body spray and cologne to get decent performance

PerfumeAficionadoMTY

No brainer this one, you should get it. Price, longevity, scent. 10/10 for the price tag.

niklas09

Nice smell 8/10, longelivity I get about 4 hours , atomizer is really nice

ThiccandJuicyLime

For the price and the quality you get with this scent its really a nobrainer.
Fresh Orange juice with green tea and a hint of ginger. Its not really the same as Imagination but pretty close. Totally unisex since its pretty sweet
a 10/10 and 100% recomend, you cant go wrong with this if you like tea and citrus

Michaelovesfrags

Smells like bergamot and ginger honestly really love the dry down and the light freshness but man this thing has horrible longevity. Doesn’t project at all Im and I get like 45 minutes to an hour on my skin. Really a shame considering how great this smells. Also the atomizer is horrible 😭 wouldn’t buy again. Probably a 6 out of 10 with the horrid projection and longevity

hassanvand

Nice smell, terrible longevity.

renomen43

Bergamot heavy at the top and it settles to be a balanced sweet citrus mix. Like a nice orange-lemonade. A tiny bit of green note is there in the background too. Blends in well.

In the air, it's a lot sweeter than from up close. Also, it's much better off skin than off clothes. Projects fairly well.

If the slight sweetness is not off-putting for you in a fresh scent and you like the smell of a good lemonade on a summer day, buy this ASAP.

Batch 40820 (2024/03/22)

Dan1509

Very citrusy, dry down is heaven :D

XiDeR_FRG

This might be the best fresh summer fragrance Zara could dupe and make. Although I haven't smelled the OG LV Imagination, this one is amazing. Grapefruit, citrus, orange blossom, a scent kinda new to my nose. It gives me the vibe of a cool summer breeze by the sea or something. If you want a nice spring/summer fragrance from Zara, this is the best pickup.

scrutinizing

I really like the scent, although i warn you, this is imo unisex and not masculine, in fact i smelled this in the past on women, but its nice to wear around the house.

SoniMax

Smells like stink bug smell mixed with generic detergent. I hope the original Imagination does not smell like that.

danielenachem

It’s an ok fragrance. Airy and sweet? I like the dry down much better than the opening, but not something I would go for very often.

Emanuel Anderson

Very harsh bergamot ginger opening but actually smells half decent for the Zara standard. Smells like a very citrusy cocktail. Not for everyone tho

6/10

freezak

Great fragrance, i'd say if you're into citrus notes and tolerate some feminine fresh, creamy notes you can blind buy it. I did, and i'm not dissapointed, mind you, my main fragrance is Missoni Wave.

MehmetAlk

This smell like a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (Halyomorpha halys). Unfortunately for me it's a bad smell. I never use it or buy it. I don't understand why people gave this scent such high scores. I guess many Zara fans gave high marks to this fragrance without trying it, no one should make a blind purchase without trying this perfume, go try it and then decide whether to buy it or not.

EmJay87

I have a new bottle bought in-store March '24, UK. It looks like the bottle picture used on Fragrantica, but it doesn't have the perfumer's name on it. Instead at the top is say "Eau De Parfum" and at the bottom is says "Zara".

It is incredibly synthetic smelling, bordering on smelling like a room/bathroom spray, and worse than that, it is very, very weak. It barely projects, there isn't much sillage, and you can immediately feel it losing its performance within the first hour of wearing it. I would say I was disappointed, but having read enough reviews I knew that this was going to be a hit or miss fragrance. Big miss.

I can't speak for older versions or previous batches, but I can speak for this one:

If you plan on going in store and buying it, or ordering a new bottle online, maybe don't. It's not very good, even for the low price. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and this definitely feels like one of those "pay cheap prices, get cheap results" fragrances.

ManicMonkey84

For $45, this is a steal. Surprisingly sophisticated by Zara standards. The citrus and ginger don't smell synthetic, and harmonize in a clean, zippy, and uplifting way on the skin. I sprayed this on my hand 5-6 hours ago and can still pick up the scent.

UPDATE: I smelled this again recently, it came off fruitier and sweeter than I remembered. And quite synthetic. It's still pretty decent, but not the banger I initially thought.

Lucciii

@mehmetalk I made an account just to say that is a very accurate description of the smell. Just got this today and did not like it at all. Almost reminds me of the scent of ladybugs starting to show up in Tennessee.

daioros

Tested on paper and skin several times and always getting the same results: bitter, sour and incredibly synthetic, to the point of being unusable, even inducing a small headache.
My girlfriend says it smells ok, but my nose can't stand it at all.
Maybe it's the ginger note, maybe it's the orange note.
That same strange note is also present in “Sand Desert At Sunset” (Zara), the other one that I can't stand from the Zara line.
Too bad for me, because I have easy access to these two perfumes.

For me it is: 70% strange synthetic note, 20% sourness, 5% orange, 5% lemon,
Longevity is 5 hours (of pain), projection is average.

Wish it was better for me.

martinvb

I have the newest version, prod. February '24. It's kinda harsh in the opening, but only if you smell it up close. My initial thought was "Lacoste Yellow mixed with Bois Imperial", but it quickly drifts away from that and becomes a handsome juicy citrus scent. Apart from that, it's very pleasant, it smells amazing in the air and if you're not too pretentious, you can call it a very nice, refreshing fragrance. Performance is not the best, but I'll be overspraying it this summer with no remorse whatsoever 😉

Krixacus

Initial thoughts smells really good, quite strong one spray on back of my hand, Can smell whiffs of it every so often. I have been seeing reviews from other people about the different batches of this. I currently purchased the white label from Zara in store doesn't have any harsh opening smells amazing for the price it's a no brainer. Can't comment on how similar it is to LV imagination.

Perfumato

Absolutely great alternative to LV's Imagination

BUT

It lacks the Ambroxan Giga dose that sets Imagination apart in addition to the natural citruses.

SOTRSD tends to be slightly fruitier and sweeter due to the cassiss note.

Insane money to value you get out of it.

In case you wonde how this smells like :

This is a light citrusy, fruity (more like red grapes) smell with a dreamy soapy accord that recalls some of the 90s frags.

Easy wear and unisex.

Cheers

player1363

Almost identical to Louis Vitton's Imagination. For %90 less money.

kayakoi

I love this fragrance! Bought it for my husband, but wouldn’t mind wearing it myself. It opens up bit sharp, I get tangerine peel vibes, but then it develops into a geourgeous sweet, creamy orange, just can’t get enough of it. Longevity is great and drydown very pleasant, warm and comforting. The best of Zara men perfumes. 🍋🧡

User123

This reminds me a lot of their roomspray Son de Baies.

vtdsz

This fragrance is absolutely stunning! It has good longevity and reasonable projection for a freshie.
To my nose, it is identical to Sculpture Homme by Nikos. Although I think that Zara SRSD is fresher, fruitier and lasts longer. Sculpture is sweeter, has a vanilla note (which I despise) and it seems to have a notch bellow in quality to its Zara counterpart.
With all its qualities I would suggest to use it with moderation within closed spaces. This beauty in excess can be cloying.

JJ2137

For this kind of scent is has spectacular longevity, not sure how most of people get 3-6h, on my skin after 16 h there is still faint but detectable base of the perfume. Scent itself is ok, firstly it hits with sour citruses, then transforms into soapy neroli.

Edit: Finally I could compare with the original. The scents are in the similar ballpark, citruses in the zara are much more "aggresive" and the sourness lasts for some time, while Imagination goes clean and soapy and gorgeous fairly quick.

I would say zara is 80-85% similar to LV Imagination and for most people this will be enough, but the nuances and quality of blend of Imagination made me immidiately save up for full bottle and get rid of zara.

frank_yxz

Key words: fresh and clean

Before I tested it, I had noticed that many reviews mentioned the similarities between this one and Imagination by LV. To be honest, I don't consider it as a dupe.
The initial sprays are already fresh and citrusy. I immediately get the fruity sour and juicy notes, uplifting and pleasant, although slightly synthetic. In a few minutes, orange blossom comes out, and it just gets stronger and stronger as it develops on my skin. Bitter and soapy, the typical summery scent.
Unfortunately, in the later stage this perfume gives me headache. Normally I am a big fan for citrusy perfumes, especially in summer. In the later stage, orange blossom is still dominant, plus the clean musk, it is supposed to be a nice summer perfume for me. However, I also smell something sweet in the background, which makes the perfume smell more like cleaning products or room spray.

The performance is reasonable considering the price, the sillage could be better.

Elior033

Nice perfume, nothing more than that is worth the cheap price, very synthetic, not even close to the masterpiece imagination, to all those who claim this, you are insulting Louis Vuitton's perfume

AngelovD

To say I am impressed would be an understatement. A friend of mine told me to try this one since I wasn't aware of it. Now, I have already tried LV Imagination on a sample and yes it is really nice but the price is absurd. After checking this one, my thought was.. damn, this is just so good. In fact, it is so good that when you take the price into consideration and the quality that you get(surprisingly) from Zara, paying the funds for LV is just not necessary. This punches much above its weight. It's bright, airy, clean and the dry down.. oh man.. its to die for and all of this with that price tag.. it's a no brainer really. Go for it!

Momoko13

I know it’s not listed, but I get a grapefruit blast from this one. It does have some sweetness to it as well but nothing cloying. It also has a tiny bit of spice from the ginger, but nothing harsh…more like you are smelling a ginger tea instead or eating ginger. This a a great fragrance especially for the price. Easy to wear at work or around people who are usually offended by fragrances.

jillvee

I bought this to try against my LV imagination side by side to see if it was similar enough to be a dupe and to have zara as a backup. On my skin, they are miles apart in scent. Yes, they are both citrus-esque in the opening but the zara is more like a cleanser and becomes very soapy within 1-2 minutes with a strong resemblence to fabric softener or detergent settling into a soapy musk. LV is a more bitter, realistic citrus- breezy, refreshing due to the tea note with a bit of a fresh green aquatic feel and more complex fragrance overall. To me, this is not a dupe just based on how different they smell side by side. If you are going for a soapy, fluffy kind of clean scent more akin to the CLEAN white cotton tshirt or others from their line then you may like this. After about 3 hours, the base notes with musk vs ambroxan become a bit similar but the initial wear for a few hours have LV as citrus/tea and Zara citrus turns soapy/fuzzy/laundry w a touch of mimosa flower vibe. End result has a similar smell after a few hours, when it becomes a skin scent but initially wearing them were very different on my skin. Neither scent is bad on its own, it's just difficult trying to put them aginst each other. Typically i prefer to isolate a fragarance as a stand alone creation, this is just one instance where i could not go to a review of this or imagination and not see it constantly cross-referenced.

solulszabolcs

Citrusy, gingery scent. Fine. But its longevity is not outstanding.

Erodeox

I have read many reviews regarding the batch number. This was recently launched (I believe within the last 1-2 weeks) in Mainland China, and I got mine from batch 33101. The box has a white sleeve and a dark inside-box. The bottle features a white label, but it's different from the first version where the perfumer's name was included. Therefore, there's no perfumer's name on the label (also not on the front of the box; it's only on the back of the box). However, the China retail versions would have a Chinese sticker with ingredients blocking the view. This is also the case with the other Sunset perfume from the same collection, which I also have.

The initial blast is pungent, yes, very citrusy. But if you leave it on your skin, it then develops into what I call the 'South-Eastern Asia's 5 Star Hotel Smell.' Imagine you have just arrived at the Park Hyatt in Siem Reap on a hot, summery late September day, and you've just come out of the shower using the quality shower gel/soap from the hotel that gives you an image of citrus, lemon, soap, and ginger. That is exactly how I felt with the perfume.

Buyers, beware. If you dislike the orange blossom scent, especially from other Zara fragrances, you might notice a bit of nausea or a headache. However, the rest of the scent in this one could combat that well, so I'd say give it a try.

Kojon

There seems to be a lot of confusion about different "versions" of this fragrance. People are saying that the bottle without the white label is the new one and is reformulated and not nearly as good. Looking at many resellers, the white label one seems hard to find. However, you can buy it directly from their site. $45 shipped, and it has the white label. Strangely enough they list the same product with the same exact name but with the etched black lettering, but it's out of stock. So I'm not sure what's up with that, but if you want this fragrance just buy it from Zara's site.

The fragrance itself is very good, and I am definitely impressed. It's a refreshing, relaxing, summer fragrance. It smells like a lemon iced tea with some ginger and floral accents. According to the notes there's not actually any tea in this, but it really does smell like it to me. Overall, it's a wonderfully blended fragrance that's soothing and reminiscent of sitting on the porch on a hot summer day with a light breeze. Also, because the profile is fairly basic, this one is superb for layering with other fragrances. I found that something like The Dreamer pairs well with this, as it turns it into a sweet, powdery, lemon candy-like scent with pleasant florals.

My only complaint is that the performance on this is below average... Projection isn't really intimate, but you do have to be kinda close to smell it. Longevity is not great, as it barely lasts 3-4 hours on my skin. Definitely have to overspray and spray on clothes as well. Not a huge deal since it's pretty cheap. Also, like many Zara fragrances, I would say this is a very unisex fragrance that almost anyone can wear. I haven't smelled LV Imagination but considering this is about 15% of the price, you can't go wrong with this if you want that same DNA that many claim it is very similar to.

mer919

I have the non-labeled (previous batch) bottle, both in the 30ml and box w/all over spray forms. I also have a sample of imagination directly from the LV store. I have to say it is scaringly accurate, it is a tad bit less soapy and airy than imagination, but it does smell very similar. It also has decent projection and longevity as well but I would have to try this in warmer weather. Definitely recommend for the price, I already stocked up on this stuff.

small edit : after retesting against imagination today, there is a slight difference, especially in the opening. i still do not think that slight difference makes buying imagination a good idea while this exists, though.

BalkanFragranceLover

i bought this on recommendation of being a "good clone" of Imagination
Its a glass bottle with nothing on it aside the name of the fragrance etched on the glass.
Now i understand finally what some people mean when they say a random citrus fragrance "smells like Lemon Pledge"
Yeah, this one opens like a bottom shelf dishwashing soap. And its stays there. Its dirt cheap, but still waste of money.
Very unpleasant surprise, given Sand Desert at Sunset is very nice cheapy that smells quality, and like every ZARA the only downside is the performance.
This one SMELLS CHEAP.

citrusfreak

@TerreD'Profumo the new one has horrible artificial citrus scent and completely different undertones. Basically new scent. Longevity is about 1hour compared to 6hours of the old one.

Otto07

Really enjoy this one! Bought by mistake because I mistook it for being zaras “sand dessert at sunset” but over the time I really came to like it. On my skin it’s quite soapy and citrusy but with a really delicious elderflower breaking through.
It has an okay projection and last solid 4 hours on me. Projection is ok for me but eep in mind I haven’t yet tried this in the summer.
If you like this kind of fresh soapy out the shower scent, I think you’re really gonna love this one. Can’t wait for summer to wear this.

pcinfra

I have LV imagination but I also keep coming back to this. Sure, LV is better in the top notes but the dry down is just soooo nice on this. If you love this DNA it’s not redundant to have both.

Theodorapo

A good and versatile fragrance suitable for many occasions . It lasts solid 8 hours on my skin (no sticket bottle) and projects good for the first 2 hours. I can smell it even after I washed my hands as a skin scent and on clothes till next day. To my nose i get a a smell of citrus/mandarin flavoured tea. The smell is not synthetic but its definitely missing the depth of the LV citruses which is quite unique and recognisable. its not an imagination clone rather than an imagination inspired copy. I bought it only because it was 9 euros 100ml + body spray 100ml and there is no other imagination inspired dupe out there. if i was to spend money in LV there are plenty of other options to chose from their collection imo.

TerreD'Profumo

@citrusfreak
What is the difference between the original old white label and the new one?

Trilogy

LV Imagination on a budget. Lacks the depth and longevity of the LV however you can forgive this as it’s such excellent value for money so just buy two bottles and keep one in your bag.

FranVV

La veo bastante más femenina que masculina, a mí hija le gusta mucho y a mi mujer le encanta. La veo ideal para uso diario para mujer de cualquier edad.

Khalid Deria

On me it’s more like L'Immensité, Vibrato, the ginger is popping out from my skin very well. Not as soapy like imagination.
Good released.
Easy to wear.
Approved.

Jul_88$

@Fragrancesells899
Yes it was the white label batch. It smelt awful

Samurai23

I have Imagination and I love it. Yesterday I tried Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes and to be honest, after sniffing the drydown up close, they are very similar... This was my first impression and I think a lot of people would not be able to tell the difference, which I guess is the point. Arguing that they are not similar is just stupid.
That being said, Imagination is better in every way. But if you are going to the gym or somewhere for a couple of hours and just want to smell fresh and clean, this is an amazing cheap alternative to Imagination.

citrusfreak

Unfortunately they blew it. I have three different packaging. The original white label bought in May and it is sublime. Great scent and longevity for 8 hours. Second is the one with no white label comes with body spray. It is still has same scent but longevity is horrible, max 2 hours. The third one is new batch with white label (made in August). Horrible strong artificial scent of citrus and ginger. It doesn't resembles at all the original one. They have successfully ruined the best perfume from Zara.

fragrancesells899

@Jul_88$ do you have the bottle with the white label or the one without a label?

Jul_88$

I think I got a bad batch but this gave me a headache.
It’s just a shotgun blast of lemon and ginger, definitely not going nose blind from this. Idk I might have to let it macerate but this stuff is not it for me. I’m very intrigued by the positive comments of it but this stuff is just straight ginger to my nose. And kinda disappointed but the performance on this is pretty good better than zara vibrant leather which I own.

SmellGood11

I have the newer bottle (no white label).

I'm going to take you on my fragrance journey with this fragrance.

First spray: "Hmmmm. Not what I expected at all. I need to double check what gender this fragrance is targeted at because it definitely smells unisex, but leaning feminine."

"What am I smelling? Citrus rinds. Very zesty like grating the peel of several citrus fruits. I keep on getting remined of Grapefruit".

Then the absolute confusion as time went by. It reminds me of something....
"Like a baby coming out of the shower, put in clean clothes, and smells powdery. Light and leaning feminine. It has to be the orange blossom imparting this".

I kept on dwelling on that. Then the dry down occurred and it hit me:
"It smells like lotion. How do you quantify what lotion smells like? I don't know, but it smells like lotion at a beach. The smell of the beach (sand) imparting that "beach smell" with the lotion on your body (sunscreen). The citrus now smells mostly mandarin orange. I really smell the Mandarin orange. Mandarin orange with lotion at the beach

That was my eureka moment. This is a "summer at the beach" fragrance. During the entire journey I never once thought: "This smells like it is made for a guy". It is very unisex when sprayed on my skin. I've also become nose blind to the scent. It smells close to the skin after an hour. But when walking around I catch whiffs of the fragrance. It's tough to gauge if anyone else could smell it. It is a tight bubble/intimate bubble of scent. People will smell the top of the fragrance. That projects moderately. The fragrance is at its best in the dry down. The top/initial spray of the fragrance I'm not wild about. The dry down is very casual, summer beach vibes.

PlatMik

The opening is like a citric declaration of war against any nose in a 10m radius, after that its a really gorgeous fragrance, with an airy musky amber with white flowers along it with hints of a juicy orange

copenhagenfragrence

Avoid if you are a man. This perfume smells very unique, and citrus-like. Unfortunately the amber base notes are very odd, and I could not bear the smell.
I went it to buy it, but it smells wrong. It's the base notes that are all wrong and smells very bad.

People who rate this perfume high: Why rate it high just because it is very cheap to buy in the set with both the perfume and spray? It does not smell pleasant.

Andreeks

Did anyone have the chance to compare original/new batches?

Araya28

On my skin the dry down is very similar to Hermes L'ombre Des Marveilles.

Scentaddiction

I picked up a gift set at Zara (Canada) for under 30 dollars CAD for my 14 year old son, who is just getting into fragrance and wanted something "fresh for everyday". 100 ml bottle edp and 100 ml body spray in the set. I am going back tomorrow to buy a bottle for myself! Wow. Just wow. Very addictive, zesty citrus in the opening, and settles into a gorgeous understated fresh ambery musk. This is dead unisex to my nose....maybe slightly masculine - quite beautifully done. I have not smelled Imagination, but the value and quality for the price is unreal. Addictive and delicious, it will make a great summer freshie. So good!

Patrik2003

O R G A S M. Would easily buy it for 80€ too... tho it costs only 15€... just buy it and try it, not gonna regret it.
It opens up a little synthetic, but still GOOOOD. Let it sit on you for a few minutes, then you will see what am I talking about.

minhoEK3

Just like comment before me, i got 100ml+ all-over spray for 11€....i wanted to take time and wear it a few times and then write a review. But i think iam not going to wear it anytime soon and iam not a big fan so far.
Now to my opinion. It is nice, citrusy(mandarin), sweet a bit warm spicy and a bit green. It is quite linear and doesnt have harsh opening or something like that. When iam smelling it from up close , i like it, however when in the air, it smells like perfume my teacher(50+ yo lady) in high school used to wear!!!:( and i didnt like her so i have bad association with that smell.I think it is that green Cassis "green tea" like smell + musk combination which is giving me headache.
Also i dont like unisex / feminine leaning fragrances, which i think this is(just my opinion).
This will be my last full bottle of unisex fragrance ever i think.... all these unisex Louis Vuitton, Creed and other high end designers are marketed for old rich people so they smell either like an old woman or like old man("classic") ?
.....
Longevity and sillage...well, i think it is quite good, above average, i have Vibrant Leather on one hand and SOTRSD on the other, and while VL is almost gone this is still noticeable.
We will see in summer if it will be better,if i dont sell it or give it to somebody or i will use it as substitute just to save my Allure Homme Sport i might change my opinion on this.
To end my thoughts on this fragrance, iam sure many people will like this scent but iam basic b1tch i like my AHS and my blues even after 2 years in this hobby:)

NeoRaider

It's simply amazing! To me very similar to VL Summer/Cologne but better, higher quality and more refined in the dry-down. Citruses and ginger are prominent and dominating all the time and performance, especially for a citrusy fragrance and Zara is great! I can't believe what i got for 11€ packed together with all-over spray! If you are a fan of this type of fragrances, this is a must buy and highly recommended!

jjames799

This is a surprisingly great release from Zara - a somewhat brilliant interpretation of LV Imagination.

Now it does start a bit harsh and you can sense the synthetics in the opening few minutes - but get past that start and you have a very good to great fragrance.

It's the perfect blend of citrus, freshness and spices - the tea note is here (those claiming otherwise need to have another sniff). Perfect for summer or winter. Night or day. This is the perfect everyday/everyman fragrance that puts the likes of BDC to shame.

Performance is excellent - very strong projection and sticks around for 6-7 hours. Best of all you likely won't go noseblind to this as it has enough about it to make sure you notice it.

BUY BUY BUY - because it won't be around for ever.

Edit: I have the latest batch without the white label and came with the body spray. Performance is good so don't take other reviews saying otherwise as gospel.

Max Tatum

No idea how close to imagination this is, to me it's H24 edp 1:1 clone. Anyways it's a jewel everyone should have for the price. Fantastic scent i can't compare to any in the typical mid designer range. Any occasion, all day long, clean, safe, citrusy, with nothing cheap smelling about it.

rmnnnnn

This is really great for the price and I hate to tell you but if you like Imagination, this will not fill the hole in your heart. It is similar, yes, there is an ice tea vibe in both. But that's about it. The original smells really premium and has that LV sparkling base, also it's a lot smoother. But Sunrise is not bad at all, I'll happily use it as my gym scent :)

Edit: My bottle doesn't have the white label as mentioned above. Maybe that's why I don't recognize too much Imagination there? It is a very strong citrus peel vibe.

Elninosantos

This is too bad to be called an eau de parfum. With a citrus flavor only comparable to bathroom detergent. Sorry to the perfumery experts and critics, but this is very BAD. I bought it with red for him, another rubbish. Zara perfumes are something to forget. I shouldn't have remembered... Too bad..

AndrewZb

Very high-quality fragrance for just a designer brand. The longevity is about 8-10 hrs, with fresh and strong bergamot and orange scent. Great for summer and for winter too!

Luigi408

This is amazing fragrance! For the price I don’t think you can beat it. It’s my go to for the gym and running errands. Last surprisingly long for me. I get whiffs all day long when I put about 5 sprays.

maxpowerboston

Bright mandarin opening. I'm not sure I smell much bergamot but it's definitely citrus-heavy up top and it dries down to a pretty clean green and musky base. Side by side with Imagination and I find this is more screechy throughout and is missing the nice tea note that holds together Imagination. That said, you'll notice that they are very similar, especially in the base as it dries down. Dried paper tester strips side-by-side smell very similar but (on my skin) the citrus of Sunrise lasts longer than Imagination and I actually prefer it.

I get really strong performance from Sunrise for this type of scent. 6-8 hours with 1-2 of noticeable projection. Spraying Imagination on one arm and Sunrise on the other, Sunrise was still noticeable (as a skin scent) by the time Imagination was gone.

This is a 7.75/10 for me. Great in the summer!

LLdeduction

Very very similar to Imagination, but there are subtle differences. The opening is harsher with that predominant ginger and lemon-y smell, and it does dry down a bit sweeter. Imagination has a more smooth orange zest opening, and dries down a tad bit more herbal.

Overall quite lovely of a scent on its own, just wished it lasted longer. I do like how to takes a sweeter turn than Imagination, but they are both so similar it gets hard to distinguish lol

easybaymike

Opening is juicier and sharper than Imagination. It doesn't have the smooth realistic citruses, but it does become similar to LV fairly quickly. Would be a good alternative BUT it's missing the tea note! Isn't that what gives Imagination some edge? Without that it steers a bit generic and feminine for me personally. I do enjoy the "solar" accord though. 7/10

dantek121

Also wanted to add that there was a couple month period when this fragrance was out of stock. It has now been re-released with a slightly different front label. Can't swear that the smell changed but the new bottle I purchased a few days ago smells amazing and the opening is dare I say BETTER than Imagination; though still different enough that it should not be considered a dupe. This is an easy to run through fragrance so its best to stock up if you love it!

denian1999

The opening citrus blast in this is different from Imagination, being a lot more 'lemony' and harsh. Other than that, this smells extremely similar to Imagination in the air, especially on the drydown: a very soothing smell. The longevity and sillage of this is mediocre compared to Imagination, but I honestly can't complain when you compare their prices. I just spray more on my clothes so that it lingers around longer. Overall, this is probably the best smelling affordable summer fragrance to me right now.

pcinfra

I have Imagination and this side by side and I don't agree that they are as similar as the reviews and the votes here make it out to be. I guess there are similarities but not enough in my opinion. The openings are totally different. The dry downs I guess could be somewhat similar...Although I will say that the drydown for Sunrise is amazing. Its just so light and short! Sadly.

dantek121

Excellent scent but side by side with Imagination the scent profile is not very close. I wouldn't consider this a dupe of imagination as people are trying to make it. Great on its own as it should be and a great bargain as well.

mesziman

Capital ZEST. Can't beat for the price

kigyo

Got a compliment from a barber girl in my hometown. She said I am officially the best smelling customer of the day.
It's not loud, pleasant enough, and lingers in a nice way. There you have it...and I scored her number.

manu1310

I've never smelled Imagination before as it's pretty hard to find here in Perth, Australia. However, the first perfume that came to my mind when I smelled this is Eau de Rhubarbe Escarlate by Hermes. Smells nice and somewhat sophisticated. Can't imagine anyone disliking this fragrance.

solegen

It's Zara so the performance is typically going to be lacking and here is no exception. 6-8 sprays and it is still gone in 4 hours. Opening is sweet synthetic orange with a fair bit of perfumer's alcohol lingering in the top notes and making things harsher than they need to be. Seems to be a trademark of Zara products though. The drydown smooths out quite a bit and yes it does smell a lot like LV's Imagination. Very pleasant and if I could skip the opening and have a few more hours of that drydown this would be exceptional for the price. As is, it's fine but nothing remarkable.

1llusions

100% worth the price, good for days, go out shopping, gym, meetings. 6-7 sprays is full enought

Boorkfrag

You people with 300$ perfumes in your collection, please dont make an effort on commenting on a 30$ perfume,it is hilarious.

JLV54

7-7.5/10
Nice soft summery scent, opens a bit spicy and very sweet white floral but very quickly settles down to a quite creamy and citrussy ambroxan base that is pleasant for hot weather, maybe a bit too sweet for the hottest days, I say although it doesn't smell much similar, it has a very similar use case to ysl y edp. I've only smelt imagination once but from memory they are quite similar but this one has less depth and spiciness from the ginger. It's quite weak in terms of projection and longevity, which is fine for a summer freshie so go heavy with the sprays, but with it being relatively cheap it's not that big an issue. It's not very unique or mind-blowing so some people might find it boring or generic but it's a good grab and go scent that is easy to find and affordable so I can't knock it to hard for unoriginality.

sigginator06

Similar to Imagination. Citrus + mandarin + musk + ambroxan.
So boring...

4dri3n

The opening might take a bit of getting used to, it's simultaneously quite fresh and floral at first, almost shampoo-like in a way, but with the fizzy ginger top note adding an unusual element to the mix. Later on it all blends together more, smelling of everything and nothing, like what you'd expect from the musk and amber (highly likely to be some form of ambroxide here) base notes.

While it certainly is simple, I do love the effect, especially after a couple of hours. First time I tried this on at Zara I was a bit underwhelmed, but by the time I got home I already felt like going back for a bottle. It's quite strong and long-lasting, too, unlike other fresh and summery scents it doesn't evaporate too quickly in the heat. It isn't particularly fancy smelling, so probably more of a jeans and t-shirt type of fragrance but I don't hesitate to wear it to the office on hotter days.

emiserry

First time I tried this I found the opening too harsh, too sweet and candy like for me. Becomes excellent after about half an hour when the other notes show up. Honestly prefer this over the likes of Bvlgari Tygar as this is more creamy and smooth while still being fresh. Would suggest to try it on skin and let it sit for a while before judging it.

FourLeaf

Picked this up after getting Sand Desert At Sunset, and to be honest, it's just alright. Nothing amazing, but not bad either. The top is decent with its citrus notes, and the drydown is better when the musk and amber comes into play. At 40 bucks for 100ml its not a bad buy, but i would rather spend those 40 bucks on a smaller, better designer fragrance, or even an arab brand like lattafa, armaf etc. When sprayed in a room it really does remind me of a glade air freshener you would spray in your bathroom. Overall, not bad, but if you can add another $10 to your budget, you should get a designer fragrance or something like armaf's club de nuit line.

Timmer

Fresh. Citrus. Creamy. Summertime. Smells more expensive than it is. I have received several compliments. It's a worthwhile purchase, including as a blind buy. I paid $40 for 100 ml in the USA. It was the last bottle in the Troy MI store. Apparently it’s very popular.

At times I catch notes that are hints of Vernors ginger ale soda (it’s a Michigan thing) and also hints of L’Eau D’Issey by Issey Miyake.

I have 2 bottles of it. One purchased in Michigan and one in Florida. The atomizer on the bottle from Florida is terrible. It sprays a weak fine mist and the nozzle drips a little. Even the caps are different.

heyjerry

A very bright, fresh and elegant fragrance, but It doesn't stay for too long on the skin.

Highlights: good price; very easy to use; comfy fragrance; 😌

Longevity: 2h (too much sprays)
Silage: between intimate do moderate
Occasions: lunch, happy hour, days off :)

HueloBien

8 sprays (of which 2 on clothes).
Thank me later

linouce

I don't know how I feel about this one. It's not bad but it feels a bit too synthetic to my nose.

PierreLouis

Nice elegant citrusy fragrance. It might be redundant if you already own Zara Infinite Wave, Zara Wild Coolness, Zara Place Dauphine or even the ginger bomb of some years ago Zara Blue Hole, that's in the opening and half life but in dry down the ginger leaves room to the mandarine and on clothes smells like Dior Homme SPORT, not COLOGNE.

Perifanos

I'd tried it in early spring and I found it a bit too effervescent for my taste, but I tried it again yesterday during a hot summer day and it works wonderful for this weather, it's like the perfume equivalent of drinking a cold orange soda in the heat, so refreshing!

I'm not sold on the sillage, though, will have to do further testing for that.

torres_jake

This one is good. I was trying Zara's new collection, I wanted to buy Tobacco Sublime or Lush Vetiver, but I ended up getting this one. It's a little sweet. The ingredients are not super high quality, but this smells good and it's super affordable! I will go back and get Lush Vetiver, that one reminded me of Singapore's Orchard Station on the drydown 9/10

LeatherCouch

Extremely similar to Imagination by Louis Vuitton.

dayonee

Tried it side by side on skin with the LV Imagination. As mentioned in the reviews below, the difference is in the opening. It is sweet but not overly so. Smells a bit like orange tang to me. It's not bad in general, but when compared to the LV, you can tell the quality difference. In the dry down, it is VERY similar to the LV and had a difficult time distinguishing between the two.

Was thinking about splurging on the LV because, overall, it is a better one of the two IMO but glad I didn't; I mean, come on, $300 for a perfume? Anything over $200 better start curing cancer with each spray. (To each their own on this) Mind you, LV is an awesome scent. But $40 on a juice that is similar, good longevity, inoffensive and fun? TAKE MY MONEY.

EDIT (after purchase):
This is nice, VERY NICE. Dry down is divine. Forget about the LV Imagination comparison. Despite its similarities, this is great in and of itself and does its own thing. Highly recommend you give it a try. Truly a hidden gem.

Only downside (that I'm willing to overlook because it smells good) is that the atomizer sucks. It almost ejects in a ring with a hollow center. I don't know if mine is defective but curious about others who have a bottle.

Mokinko

I can see some of the similarities of imagination but this beast does its own thing. Beautiful scent for being so cheap!

Colossalscent

This has an orrendous opening, a lemon detergent type of smell which i personally don't like. After 10 minutes or so this starts to shine and become a rich, elegant and alluring summer/spring scent, really hard to dislike. This is a creamy mandarin with an erbal musky vibe and some delicate and smooth ambroxan. It could remind you a little bit of Dior Homme Cologne but in my opinion Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes is better in any aspect, it's smoother, less harsh, more refined and it last a lot longer than DHC and his clones.

8,5/10

Digam

Very pleasant scent

Toiletcrusher

Got this in from Zara yesterday after they finally got it back in stock. The opening is excellent - juicy/citrusy. The drydown is a bit floral to my nose. It's a lovely unisex fragrance, but it's not a great fit for me.

millerje86

Imagination this is not…but this is also not $400. This does the same things as Imagination does, but many fragrances do. Citrus/Ginger - without the citrus being overly tart, or overly sweet.

All in all I do not regret buying this, as it’s an easy reach in the summer - slots in well with the aforementioned Imagination, Dior Homme Cologne, etc. But if you’re buying this in hopes of replacing your LV, sorry to say you’re just going to have get your wallet out.

SwampSaddle

After a bad case of fomo, I jumped on the Imagination hype train and blind bought Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes as a budget conscious alternative. The opening is dominated by mandarin orange, but it's not overly sweet. There's also a hint of ginger that provides a refreshing, spicy touch. The initial dry down is likely where the comparison to Imagination comes from - it's Terre d'Hermes meets Earl Grey tea. It then settles into a powdery, orange blossom and musk scent reminiscent of Dior Homme Cologne. The cassis is largely undetectable. Overall, a solid buy for $40.

neves29

I never smelled LV imagination, but this fragrance remembers me Dior Homme cologne, the only detail that makes them not be identic is the prominent mandarin orange in this edp from zara.
Apart from the prominent mandarin orange, I can also smell the bergamot and the orange blossom really well, amber only starts to appear after around for hours.
if you are looking for a cheap fragrance with a good price-quality ratio to use during the summer, then this is probably the one mainly because I think that this frangrance can be easily appealing for anyone, regardless of their specific taste.
It lasts around 5-6 hours on my skin, not a really bad performance considering the price you're paying, and many other more expensive summer fragrances also last the same (for exame, dior homme cologne itself doesn't last more than 5-6 hours, and costs around 5 times more), but anyway, you can also overspray it a little, it will not bother anyone.
People who are blaming it's qualify are definitely not baring in mind the price they paid, and to be honest, this fragrance may be less synthetic than other more expensive fragrances from designer brands (for example, I find lacoste l.12.12 more synthetic, and it costs around 20 euros more).
Overall, I will give this frangrance a 9/10, considering the price, the quality, the perfomance, and also the smell itself.

RoBoT

I get a mint note, like mint fresh from the garden. Maybe the cassis, a clean and herbal cassis versus a ammonia cat pee type of cassis?

Arber Cami

On my skin the opening is very sweet and fruity.
The sweetness lingers on my skin for about 1 hours, after that the perfume settles down to a fresh, floral, slightly spicy and musky/soapy scent, really lovely especially for the price. I personally wouldn't wear this in the high heat (25°C and up). Although targeted for men, the scent is perfectly unisex.

itsatom

Hard alcohol blast in the beginning. Terrible quality compared to LV imagination. Definitely get what you are paying for. Headache inducing. 5/10

Frabra88

Omg, serendipity in a bottle!!!
I am loving this, wish I was more farsighted in understanding its worth...I should have bought two bottles.

I was expecting, reading Zara's description, a citrus overdose of the bothersome kind...instead bergamot, mandarin and ginger are perfectly blended togheter, they present a united front and they are so louminous and airy, even solar in a way...mandarin is sweet and tender, the ginger a smidge spicy and earthy, never bitter! Their olfactive presence is a tad lost in the middle fase, but the sparkly and watery quality they gift to the scent remains, actually...the ginger is still felt in the heart of the scent, it gives something extra to the flowers, a kick of fresh spiciness and a cool sensation!
The orange flowers they choose for this are lovely, simply lovely...multifaceted and rich. They are made zesty by the ginger, sweetened by the mandarin, have an intrinsic honeyed quality about them, but in contrast they are also very soapy (more so then the ones in ZaraxJoMalone Fleur d'Oranger); they smell a tad young and unripe too, as if blossomed by just a day or two. They have the sweetness and candor typical of the orange flowers but also the greeness of neroli, probably because they are accompanied by cassis, lots of cassis, which adds something a little herbal and unruly, but no ammonia (or cat's pee) at all, nor yet fruitiness to my nose.
The base is light amber and white musk intertwined, I can not distinguish between the two, the effect is warm and sweet but posh, clean and sophisticated. Also this is a sexy musk....dry down is addictive!

The scent lasted for at least 4 to 5 hours; it projected quite well for the first three, but then dies down a bit...becoming more intimate, you can still smell it on you though, actually the musky/ambery dry down last until the day after, but it would be detectable only by someone very close.

If a man were to wear this, on a summery night, I think I would just jump on him without shame...or at least I would say "hi"!
This perfume speaks of freedom, of joy, of a carefree attitude and of someone that would not say no to you...speaks of an "ecstasy like" want for human connection. Perhaps I am a dreamer, a looner or a tad extra but scents always talk to me in this way, and this one managed to make feel less anxious, made me imagine beautiful peopole with beautiful hearts having no reservations in knowing me.

Now my wallet is in trouble because if Louis Vuitton Imagination is similar to this, plus a tea note, then it deserves to be in my cabinet!

EDIT: I think we should forget about Imagination and take this on his own, for its worth, the major component and what really gives value to it is the way they used cassis, not even the citrus-ginger play. I have my bottle for about two months and after a bit of maceration I can assure you that beautiful cassis remains on skin during the dry down, projection has gotten better too! It has become a slightly more fruity cassis but it is still unruly without being ammonia like.
It is a good one, I assure you.
Now available in a 30ml little bottle too.

CHESTDAYBABY

5-10 minutes after spraying, it’s very close to Imagination.

Close but definitely not a clone.
It’s sweeter, much more ambery.

price value is great, nothing to complain about ✅

HueloBien

As of today, 5/21/23, this one is no longer on Zara’s website in the USA.
I bought 2 bottles. Why?
I got a decant of Imagination, and after wearing LV, Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes is very close to imagination.

The opening is a bit different for 5-10 minutes.
The mandarin take the back seat while the orange blossom dominate in the opening, but in the mid, that’s where the magic starts. This one turns closely to Imagination.
Easily 6-7 hours longevity, and if you are outdoors, and the weather is warm, it’s magical and last a bit longer.
It’s not beast mode, and that’s fine with me.
I don’t measure a fragrance for longevity or projection, but for the enjoyment of wearing it.
If I want more longevity, I carry a decant and that works for me. Apply some more on clothes and there you have it.

Easy Spring and Summer time fragrance.
Just because it cost $40, doesn’t mean
Is a bad quality or a dupe.
Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes does it’s own thing, and it’s a great quality fragrance.

Don’t let the haters and “FragCom” wannabe to discourage you to get this one.

yukitanonton

Get your bottle as fast as possible. Stunning and unique freshie. Spicy orange and creamy. Amazing for spring and summer. I havent smelled Imagination yet, and for the price of ZARA, easily beat lots of male designer fragrances for me.

Artistscent

It’s Imagination but better and more balanced. Imagination has an overdose of ambrox in the base that makes it difficult to enjoy.

ambergrisimab

It's a good fragrance but it's not like imagination. The formula is similar though.

Let me explain.
They both open with a bright citrus, and transition to sweetness.
Imagination: citron/bergamot --> Chinese black tea, ambroxan, cinnamon (although it's not super obvious)

Sunrise on the red sand dunes: mandarin orange/bergamot -> amber, musk.

Mandarin orange is more zesty sharp compared to the citron in imagination. The citron is more smooth, the zestiness is there, but it's a calmer zest. The black tea with ambroxan melds well in Imagination's transition towards the base notes giving it a uniqueness that's not found elsewhere. It's hard to find a summer fragrance thats middle of the road usable for day/night/office.

Haven't tried the sunrise on the red sand dunes enough to say it does the same as imagination, but it's pretty damn good in of itself. Is it a good replacement for imagination? As someone who owns imagination, no. But then again, the musk ginger amber combo is really nice, and may be substitute worthy if you don't want to spend the money on imagination. Probably OK to blind buy, but don't expect to find yourself responding to this fragrance like you would imagination.

Memoirme2

Very synthetic for my taste... But not bad if we compare with others on the same price range.
I have LV Imagination and we can't compare with this Zara. Zara opening is very difficult to me. Smells like very synthetic citrus. After 30 minutes is more acceptable.

Raul Claudiu

Also for the people who voted this as similar to LV Imagination. Really? Like how similar are we talking?

Raul Claudiu

Opens up with a synthetic orange note, like a hard orange candy.Gets better in the drydown,a smooth clean, soapy smell which lasts for quite a while but with 0 projection,I had to glue my nose to my skin to smell it.

orestes13

Fresh, soapy citruses. To me it doesn't smell as synthetic as other reviewers claim. It isn't anything to write home about, but certainly wearable and quite versatile too. Longevity is good but you probably need to spray quite a bit in order to make it project.

prince64

Saudi Arabia is a land of many wonders, and the red sand desert is one of the most captivating natural landscapes that will enchant visitors. Northeastern Riyadh's vast expanse of red sand dunes is a breathtaking, almost surreal sight. Even if I've never been there, the images on the web leave me speechless. The reddish hue of the sand creates a picturesque view that looks like a painting of the most fantastic desert landscape you can ever imagine. There's little to see if you're looking for breathtaking scenery, but the vast desert you see around you as you drive to the area might evoke immense happiness that's better felt than understood. Red Sand has become a popular weekend destination among Saudis and desert-loving ex-pats. Some locals go to Red Sand from time to time to escape the noise of the city. As the name suggests, the sand is red. No two sunrises are the same, especially watching the sun rise over the red sand dunes.

After this brief heavenly description, I want to tell you what emotions Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes gives me. Among the four items of the Series N° 02 collection, this is the most citrus, fresh, and slightly floral. It starts with a citrus blast, solid and harsh, which slowly turns into something creamy, sweet, and velvety. If you smell it immediately, too close, it's aggressive. Don't let the initial extreme citric bomb made of tangerine and bergamot peel affect your judgment, as the scent gradually subsides to reveal creamy, soapy, musky, and ambery facets that you wouldn't expect. It is a modern barbershop with a gourmand touch. The bergamot smells like Earl Grey tea, creamy and zesty. There is a nuance of lemony herbs like lemongrass and citronella leaves. The opening is smooth and clean, like a gust of fresh morning air. Maybe it's nostalgia, but this opening smells like a morning in Tuscany. It reminds me so much of a beautiful bar of Atkinson soap, the yellow Golden Cologne, with a fragrance that offers an exclusive sparkling citrus note.

The orange blossom grows and grows and has a barber's touch, so soapy. If you like the soap accord in perfumes, you'll appreciate the subtle soapiness here. A freshly cut ginger root, spicier, envelops the bitterness of the orange blossom, and the heart continues with an accord that is still tart but with floral overtones. The pungent ginger works well with the citrusy and floral orange blossom top notes. Sometimes, I smell the sweet and warm spicy notes of cinnamon, which I find very close to those of L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme EAU DE TOILETTE.

The dry-down holds the orange blossom bitterness, which now shares the stage with the cassis leaves harshness. Ambroxan amplifies and releases a whiff of sweetness and saltiness. Underneath, I catch notes of grass, straw, and something slightly smoky. The initial zestiness is subdued, but an almost lemony undertone still lingers. The underground also features a sweet, soapy, and gentle musk, nothing animalic or dirty.

Ultimately, Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes differs from the other items in the collection, far from #evening safari by Mylene Alran herself, but also from previous versions by ZARA. Quite unique, its projection is good at first, then becomes moderate. For a citrus scent, longevity is more than acceptable and not disappointing. I can wear it as an everyday perfume for warm spring and hot summer to work, casually around the house, or out with friends.

I'm basing my impression on a bottle I've owned since March 2023 (BC 30680).

Oscarjavier

Excellent price/quality ratio. Similar to Amalfi Citrus (Dunhill), which I have. It's a love.

necra

This is a big no. Only lemon, lemon, lemon. Very masculine :(

boozya

Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes was easily the worst of the four fragrances in this collection. The citrusy opening was very lively and I thought I was going to really like it until 15 minutes into its life on my skin when it started falling apart. After an hour I'm left with a vague baby wipe/body wash/skin lotion/dish soap smell that is artificial and unappealing. Longevity is appalling. Huge pass.

GoldIris

Baby wipes, but not really in a bad way.

Clarkei77

Very simple put this is a very close inspired by version of acqua di parma fico di amalfi. I have both and sprayed next to each other and there's no doubt. It's slight softer than ADP and didn't project or last as long but at the price point it's worth the resprays. The new Zara range is very good and have added 3 of the 4 but this is definitely my favourite.

scentnerd

You have to wait at least 1,5 - 2 hours before it starts to smell similar to LV Imagination. Before, it smells quite synthetic orangey and sweet. Like orange syrup. Not Bad at all but not in the league of Imagination.

No replacement but a good cheap alternative.

Longevity and sillage are just about ok, Imagination on the other side has fantastic performance.

Dr.Drydown

This is a terrific LV Imagination replacement. More fruit, less tea, longer shelf life. Buy this masterpiece before it is discontinued.
90% Imagination similar, 5% Afternoon Swim and 5% Autonomy

Momoscents

Im very surprised no one mentioned that this has great similarities to nishane wulong cha. Has that tranquil tea calming note perhaps from the white florals and orange blossom. Its a nice fragrance. Albeit wulong cha has amazing longevity and sillage, this is a more reserved version. Still very good however. Worth the money imo.

nynikolany

MFK Petit Matin clone. It's about 85% similar.

Bonifac

I tested these new fragrances in the store and liked this one the most out of the four. Now I looked at the fragrance notes and was surprised - there is no rhubarb here? In the store, I decided that the main note of the aroma is sour-sweet rhubarb.

amateurnose

I like what Zara is trying to do here, it's like their own Frederic Malle interpretations, especially with the homage to the perfumer behind it. I'm keen to how these smell!

Osmologist

Least Interested in this one out of the four. Reads like a typical cologne profile with a bit of added warmth from the ginger and amber.
